I am surprised to not see the story of Boota Shingh here at the end of the article his uncle has managed to get his nephews land giving Boota money to travel with his baby to West Punjab. After his death the child escaped death and was raised by the muslims of a village as a Sikh last time i checked she had married and was living in africa. The muslims raised a sama di? inside the walls of their masjid compount and did for a long time hold a mela honoring him and his courage each year, I have read this in Children of midnight.
