Thanks for the story. The murti obviously serves as a visual key to keep the oral tradition alive of a Holy man of God who had enriched their lives. In northern Calf. I was surprised to find beautiful sang marmar murtis of Gurus Nanak and Gobind Singh in a Hindu Mandir lined up with those of the Hindu pantheon many of whom were good and righteous men who had once walked the earth. Thanks for reading my latest Post , I differ with you on Murti ,actually Murtis are not allowed in Sikhism as per the guideline laid by our Gurus. Murtis were installed in Gurdwaras by Mahants before 1947 but during Gurdwara Reforms Movement all the Idols were uprooted and thrown away by Sikh Sangat.
