I see this article is some two years old. where this Sikh was treated as if he was an Al-Qaeda terrorist

I read the Sardar is a very religious man and felt embarrassed as he had every right to be.

Unless someone can tell me the scarf on his shoulder is used in the Punjab I assume it is like one i have which i no longer wear as it is has become the standard indicator of being an Al-Qaeda terrorist or sympathizer.

My scarf was given to me by a female student of mine who was a Palestinian living in what she considered occupied Palestine. 10 years ago the scarf was the trademark for the PLO since then Al-Qaeda has, in just about every photo or piece of film, had this scarf wraped around his face he is to afraid to show. I hope the Sardar was not wearing the scarf when the instances occured as i would be immeadiately stopped in any train or airport wearing that particular scarf.Allenwalla 15:46, 24 January 2008 (MST)

The red or blue similar patterned scarf is rarely used by such terrorists and the Saudis, who did the bombing, when in native dress as Wahabee generaly use only white.Allenwalla 15:46, 24 January 2008 (MST)
