Paratam, Parmatam and Parmatma

  • Paratam: In Sikh Ideology, Paratam means the inner soul. In Duality, Soul gets spitted into two parts where one part is referred as Atman (or Man) where as positive part is refer as Paratam (Away from Mann). Gurbani states when Aatma and Paratama gets one the duality is finished. (Atam Paratam Eko Kare)
  • Parmatam: In Sikh Ideology, Paramatam is state where Atam turn into Paratam i.e when soul realized itself then it is called Paramatam. Self Realization is not considered as final step in Sikhism but it is Surat-Shabad Amalgamation when Soul turns into Parbrahma state.
