Gurbani is not against Vedas or any Religious Granths, but it is against mere reading those. Gurbani supports vichar, in Gurbani many times it come:

Ved Smiritis tell about God

ਬੇਦ ਸਿੰਮ੝ਰਿਤਿ ਕਥੈ ਸਾਸਤ ਭਗਤ ਕਰਹਿ ਬੀਚਾਰ੝ ॥ The Vedas, the Simritees, the Shaastras and the Lord's devotees contemplate Him;

Only Fools can't understand Vedas

The Holy Saints preach the teachings of the Vedas, but the unfortunate fools do not understand them.

Against mere Reading

Those who read the Vedas in their entirety, still do not see the sublime essence of reality.

One may mere read all the books of the Vedas, the Bible, the Simritees and the Shaastras, but they will not bring liberation mere reading.

Reading and reciting the Vedas, Brahma grew weary, but he did not find even a tiny bit of God's worth.

In Dasam Granth, these Simrit Shashtars are cleared but today sikhs are justreading it only and not getting mool

Deaf not hear vedas

The Vedas, the Shaastras and the holy men proclaim it, but the deaf do not hear it.

God is not in Granths

He is beyond the world of the Vedas, the Koran and the Bible.

Finding Fault and not understanding them

He finds fault with the Vedas and the Shaastras, and does not know the essence of Yoga. ||2||
