Boycott RSS

Khalsa Alliance seeks boycott of Rashtriya Sikh Sangat

Since its inception about seven decades ago by Dr. Hedgewar the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sang (RSS) has spread to 25,000 branches or Shakhas, throughout India and numerous branches worldwide. Various branches of this pernicious organization are even facing scrutiny and sanctions in numerous foreign countries. Its myriad cells and sub-organizations like a cancer have invaded every layer of Indian society with the ultimate goal of a creating a homogenized Hindu society.

The RSS has inculcated within untold numbers of ‘swayamsevaks’ a dangerous mindless religious-like fervent belief in its goals that allows no room for discussion or compromise. Punjab has been on the receiving end of all this ‘special treatment’. The Sikh ethos has always been a challenge for this group since its inception. To engulf this community into the Hindu fold, a Sikh version of the RSS was formed, cleverly known as the as Rashtriya Sikh Sangat . Its strategic use of the same initials mirrors its purpose of dilution and assimilation.

On the eve of the celebrations of 400th anniversary of the first Prakash of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Jee, the RSS is poised to stage yet another assault on the Sikh history and religious traditions. In non-Sikh dominated areas, yatras are planned to be staged with Guru Granth Sahib Jee in front with the intention of arguing through concocted examples that the latter is really a Hindu Granth. Distortion of the Gurus’ original mission will serve to bolster their false claims. It is expected donations will be plentiful which in turn will be used to print and distribute pamphlets to influence people with their divisive propaganda in the areas they are touring.

This nefarious activity came to the attention of the leadership of Sri Akal Takhat Sahib, which issued a memorandum (Sundesh) to all Sikh organizations, jathebandees, societies and Gurdwaras not to support the Rashtriya Sikh Sangat in any way.

Khalsa Alliance applauds the effort of the leadership of Sri Akal Takhat Sahib for issuing this memorandum to alert the Sikh nation of their activities. We humbly request the Panth at large to support this action by observing the celebrations according to Sikh rehet maryada and avoid in any capacity to support of the Rashtriya Sikh Sangat’s activities

While it is commendable for the leadership of Sri Akal Takhat Sahib to have taken this action we also request that Akal Takht Sahib Jathedar should go a step further and excommunicate any Sikh who, in full conscience and intention facilitates the activities of the Rashtriya Sikh Sangat. At the service of the Khalsa Panth
