Jathedar Baba Balbir Singh Ji
Jathedar Baba Balbir Singh Ji 96 Krori, born in Patiala in the year 1964, is currently serving as the 14th Jathedar of the Shiromani Panth Akali Budha Dal Panjva Takht. Baba Balbir Singh Ji is a son of Shaheed Baba Assa Singh Ji and Bibi Kulwant Kaur. He is a well versed in Gurbani. He joined Budha Dal when he was 10 years old and was a Hajoori Sevak of Baba Santa Singh Ji from 1977-1996. He has trained many of the Punjab Police personnel in Horse Riding and other martial arts.
Baba Balbir Singh Ji was given the leadership of Budha Dal by his predecessor, Jathedar Baba Santa Singh Ji. Four members of his family, including his father, were martyred after an attack on the Bagichi Baba Bamba Singh Complex in Patiala. Baba Balbir Singh Ji was honoured with the title of “Shiromani Seva Ratan” and “Shiromani Panth Ratan” by the highest Sikh authority, the Akal Takht Sahib.
