I am born a Sikh for 20 years in California USA, and always use to attend the gudwara as a child, but I never knew what Sikh stands for or what my religion really means. So I've been actually studying the Sikh religion for the past three years and I basically have knowledge of the importance of this religion and the fake formalities that are put out as part of the Sikh teaching, but this question always triggers my mind the baby naming ceremony, and also the holy water; Amrit water, thrown and splattered everywhere and it is meant to be drank. Isn't that like religion rituals that Guru Nanak Dev Ji was referring to? mMnY mgu n clY pMQu ] (3-9, jpu, mÚ 1) mannai mag na chalai panth. The faithful do not follow empty religious rituals.
