When a Sikh gets baptised, he or she is strictly required to refrain from the following actions:
- 1. Cutting or trimming of any hair,
- 2. Fornication or adultery,
- 3. Eating of meat or flesh of an animal slaughtered in a slow and painful manner, either Kosher or Halaal.
- 4. Any use of any tobacco product.
