*'''[http://valariekaur.blogspot.com Into the Whirlwind]''' Chronicling the Making of the Film "Divided We Fall"
Executive Producer Valarie Kaur writes about the final production journey (lauched July 13, 2005) of Divided We Fall, a documentary film. After the hate crime of Balbir Singh Sodhi in Arizona in the aftermath of 9/11, then-college student Valarie Kaur set off across the country to document hate crimes and prejudice against Sikh, Muslim and Arab Americans. Now, four years later, she re-traces her steps, with a professional film crew, to explore how things have changed and how they have remained the same. The final footage will be combined with her original 2001 footage in a feature-length independent documentary, for release in early 2006. Follow along and join Valarie's journey as she makes her first documentary film and interviews victims of hate crimes and prejudice. (updated several times a week)
In the aftermath of 9/11, I journied across America with a camera and captured the stories of Sikh, Muslim, and Arab Americans. Stories of fear and unspeakable loss. But also resilience and hope. Now four years later, I cross the country again, this time with a film crew, to discover how much has changed, or stayed the same. Join the making of the documentary film "Divided We Fall: Americans in the Aftermath".

It is a medley of fun and serious things. I miss the personal connection that I use to have when SikhNet was smaller and less formal, so for me this is a place to be able to just speak out share with others on a personal level and not as "SikhNet". It's kind of ironic...but yeah...you guessed it...the website is http://www.mrsikhnet.com (People can't remember the spelling of my name so some friends suggested this, since this is what they jokingly call me, "Mr SikhNet"). I normally update the site every day with something new, so it is always changing.
