The indisputable fact that in his reign as Chief hundreds of thousands of Sikhs were brutally murdered speaks for itself. He has been banned by many countries such as Great Britain from entry due to his record of ethnic cleansing.

Gill Should Be Tried for Genocide
WASHINGTON, D.C., May 13, 2002 – K.P.S. Gill, the brutal former Director General of Police of Punjab, has been named as a new advisor to the government of Gujarat. Gill was previously responsible for the murders of tens of thousands of Sikhs in Punjab, Khalistan and Muslims in Kashmir.
"Gill’s arrival in Gujarat shows the Indian government’s real intentions," said Dr. Gurmit Singh Aulakh, President of the Council of Khalistan. "The Indian government previously used him to commit its genocide against his own Sikh brothers and sisters in Punjab, Khalistan, and then they used him to commit genocide against the people of Kashmir. Now he is going to Gujarat," Dr. Aulakh said. "Wherever there is violence, it seems the murderer Gill shows up." The Council of Khalistan is the government pro tempore of Khalistan, the Sikh homeland that declared its independence from India on October 7, 1987. The Council of Khalistan leads the Sikh Nation’s struggle for independence.
A few years ago when Gill was visiting Belgium, his turban was taken from him by Sikh activists, who then chased him down the street.
"The Sikh Nation demands that the Indian government stop using the murderer K.P.S. Gill to do its dirty work and bring him to justice," Dr. Aulakh said. "Like most police officials, he has escaped any consequences of his actions. Gill should be tried for genocide," he said. "Otherwise, it shows that there is no rule of law in India."
The Indian government has murdered over 250,000 Sikhs since 1984. Over 75,000 Kashmiri Muslims have been killed since 1988. More than 200,000 Christians have been killed since 1947, along with tens of thousands of Dalits, Tamils, Assamese, Bodos, Manipuris, and other minorities. Last month, police stood by as militant Hindus attacked Muslims in Gujarat. Over 2000 people died. The Indian government paid twice as much compensation to the families of Hindus who were killed as it paid to Muslims who were killed.
The U.S. State Department reported in 1994 that the Indian government paid out over 41,000 cash bounties to police officers for killing Sikhs. Since Christmas 1998, a wave of violence against Christians has seen priests murdered, nuns being raped, churches being burned, Christian schools and prayer halls destroyed, and no one has been punished for these acts. Militant Hindu fundamentalists allied with the pro-Fascist RSS, the parent organization of the ruling BJP, burned missionary Graham Staines and his two young sons to death.
"For the survival of the Sikh Nation, the time has come to launch a Shantmai Morcha (peaceful agitation) to liberate Khalistan from Indian occupation," he said. "I call on the Sikh leadership in Punjab to begin a Shantmai Morcha immediately. I also call on the United States government to support freedom for Khalistan," he said. "In light of the fact that it has certified India as a violator of religious freedom, the United States should support independence so that everyone in South Asia can enjoy religious freedom," he said. "Sikhs are a separate nation and ruled Punjab until 1849. No Sikh has signed the Indian constitution," Dr. Aulakh said.
Sikhism is a sovereign, independent, monotheistic religion which believes in the equality of the whole human race, including gender equality. Sikhs pray every day for the well being of all humanity. The Sikh Nation was established as sovereign. Guru gave political power to the Sikh Nation. ("In Grieb Sikhan Ko Deon Patshahi.") "The people of South Asia must have self-determination now," Dr. Aulakh said.
K.P.S. Gill & Advani Meeting Tribune News Service, New Delhi, May 3 2002 Former Punjab Police Chief K. P. S. Gill, whose appointment as the Security Adviser to the Gujarat Chief Minister has been cleared, had a meeting with Union Home Minister L.K. Advani.
The meeting lasted for about 30 minutes, sources said. Top Home Ministry officials remained tight-lipped over what transpired between the two.
According to sources, former Punjab “super cop” is likely to take up his new assignment shortly.
The move to appoint Mr Gill, known for leading successful anti-terrorist operations in Punjab, is likely to help Gujarat Government to check the continuing communal violence in the state.
