The Sikhs prior to 1947 partition were mainly found, In the Punjab districts of Amritsar, Lahore, Gurdaspur, Jalandhar, Kapurthala Princely State, Hoshiarpur, Ludhiana, Firozpur, Sialkot, Sheikhupura, Lyallpur, Patiala Princely State, Jind Princely State, Ambala, Faridkot Princely State, Gujranwala, Gujrat, and Jhelum, Rawalpindi.
