under cons, will update with quotes later(Lucky 18:09, 28 July 2010 (UTC))

Ram is one which is 'all prevading' in living beings. It is Inner Soul of person which is also called Paratama. Ram etymologically means which is present in all. The positive part of person is attributed as ram and negative part of person is attributed as Krisna or shyam.

Person have to experiance their inner soul i.e ram first. The inner soul is one which have direct contact with god. One person leave his black(Mann) attribute and work acc. to inner soul. then he will able to understand ram.

When person will got knowledge of Gurbani he will experiance his inner soul and after experiancing inner soul with bless of god he will able to listen DHUR KI BANi which is Hukam(Command) of god.

There are many words which comes for Ram in gurbani incl Har(i), Prabh(Not Prabhu), Satgur(Not Satguru), Paratma(not paramatma) etc. One have to study gurbani in deep to understand different between these terminologies.

Ram is not present in Non Living things like Stones, Table, Wash basin, or computer.

Ram is also called Chand(Moon) because Ram does not have it's own light it have light of God which is also attributed as Suraj(Sun). Ram inner soul speaks of God.

Ram vs. King Ramchandra

The description in Gurmat is totally against Hindu's version of ramchandra. He was some king of ayodhya, who was thrown out of kingdom then some person called ravna stole his wife andh e remain tangle in bringing her back. when he acheived her, he then suspect her piousness, sita sit in fire then after listening to a washerman he throwed his wife out, she gave birth to lav and kush who again find their father and after that King Ramchandra sucided in Sarayu river and so his brothers and mothers

The truth behing king ramchandra is better explained by Guru Gobind SIngh in Ram Avtar part of dasam granth, which helps sikh to believe that King Ramchandra is not ram of gurmat. So that people who had fear of these mythological characters will leave the fear and follow TRUE ram.

Namdev used word to priest "Tumara Ram", means description of yours and for gurmat raam guru gobind singh and other devotees used word HAMARA RAM(Ram of gurmat vision) So one should not confuse ram with ram of hindu dharma.
