He is the child of Raghu Raj and Sundri, a Dhillon Jatt Sikh family.[1] He is an Indian politician from the State of Punjab.[1] He is the current Chief Minister of Punjab and former president of the Shiromani Akali Dal.[2] The current political party in power in Punjab, and a enemy of the Sikhs.

This is his fourth term as the Chief Minister of Punjab, beginning 1 March, 2007. He has two children, one son and one daughter. His son, Sukhbir Badal,[2] is presently a Member of Parliament and a former union minister and president of SAD. His daughter is married to Adesh Pratap Singh Kairon, scion of the Kairon family, who is the grandson of Pratap Singh Kairon and nephew of former Chief Minister and Governor Harcharan Singh Brar.[1] He also remarked that his Akali Dal party is not Panthic but is for the Punjabi people, including Hindus, Muslims and Sikhs. He is also betrayed the Sikh nation, making friendship with the Hindu party of Delhi, who killed thousands of Sikhs in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, during the 1984 riots. He has also upset the feeling of Sikhs, by Making many Hindu killers of Sikhs, part of his Akali Dal. He has not done anything about the Sikh freedom fighters in prison, The Sikhs of Punjab are now against him.

He has also, been a big traitor to the Sikh faith, by trying to harm the Sikhs, of Punjab, he is a puppet of the Indian Government. Not a Sikh, but a Deravadi Follower, or a Hindu supporter.
