The procession to celebrate the 300 years of Guruship of Guru Granth Sahib called the "Jagriti Yatra" which was scheduled to visit Kathua on 7th of April, could not reach the city on time. The sikh sangat and the other communities eagerly waited the whole day and night. The yatr finally reached Kathua on the 8th of April at 07:00 am.

There was much celebration and reverence for the Guru's procession in this gateway town of Jammu State. After the celebrations, the procession cortege proceeded for Punjab at 12:30pm.

Kathua is the largest city of the Kathua district in Jammu and Kashmir.
