Kishtwar,the upland valley in the north east corner of [[Jammu]] region of Jammu and Kashmir state,is situated among the picturesque folds of the Pir Panjal and the Great Himalayan range.The area is drained by the [[Chenab]] which enters the area through Paddar, home of the Sapphire mimes.
