Gurus, Images and Statues

I am writing this topic for discussion...sorry for poor english

We have seen many Photographs/potraits showing guru's Their history. like today i have seen pic of Mata Gujri & Sahibzada (zorawar singh & Fateh Singh). I know that is poet's imagination . I was Making Photograph Of Guru Har Rai And Bhai Kuram Singh related to Gurudwara Amb Sahib through my imagination(I know i am not that much pure to imagine) at that time a thing strikes in my mind that am i doing rite thing? Did our gurus allowed to make these pics?

Same thing strikes in my mind when My sister freind's give her statue of Guru nanak Dev jee as gurus rejected these both concepts
