None of the Sikh Gurus allowed any artist of the time to draw, paint or sculpt them, hence there are no drawings, paintings or sculptures that could accurately depict their ''rup'' (form).
 
Photography was not invented until many years after their time on earth. The many paintings and drawings in homes and Sikh establishments around the world are images from the minds of artists; no one  has any idea of what any Sikh Gurus looked like.
 
Guru Gobind Singh Ji passed the Guruship on to the Guru Granth Sahib as a guide for all Sikhs. Does the Granth have anything to say about Images or Sculpture?
