A Kid always ask his father for his wishes, but when kid becomes mad and overdemanding everything, father always ignore him or slap him. Here Devotee is begging in limits, not extending(Greed) and demanding those things which are actually require to balance ourself with nature.

They call God their Father/Mother. Their all wishes are to god and god fulfill their wishes. When they ask worldly requirements they never show greed but demand in limit, not extending(Greed) and demanding those things which are actually required to balance themselves with nature. They never go against nature, same is present in this Shabad.

Devotee Dhanna set an example, how to demand. Some people generally questions that one should not demand worldly things from god and gurmukh will never do so, so they criticize Dhanna's Bani. but this bani is actually stopping sikhs from unnecessary demands.
 
This Bani is telling in very beginning that,ਜੋ ਜਨ ਤ੝ਮਰੀ ਭਗਤਿ ਕਰੰਤੇ ਤਿਨ ਕੇ ਕਾਜ ਸਵਾਰਤਾ ॥੧॥, one who worship on god only their affairs are looked after by god(Worldly or Spiritually). Such people are very Humble and they ask for only those things which are actually required to live fruitful life.


Dhanna is asking for Dairy animals, which help in earning in his livelihood and demanding for Horse which help him to visit place when needed.
