Char Padarath (The Four Treasures) are needs of Soul. Gurbani contains information about soul and gives description how soul could liberate. In Gurmat, Four Treasures are described which a Gurmukh can understand by deep Insight. From Gurmat four types of Treasures or Padarath's are present for the soul.

Char padarath, je ko mange; char padarath, je ko mange
Sadh jana ki, seva lage; sadh jana ki, seva lage

In Gurmat, Four Padaraths are different those are:

  1. Gyan Padarath: (Teasure of Spiritual Knowledge)
  2. Mukat Padarath: (Treasure of Salvation)
  3. Janam Padarath: (Treasure of Rebirth)
  4. Naam Padarath: (Treasure of Divine Wisdom)


There are other blessings defined by manmukhs or common people who did not have understanding of soul. They have described four Padaraths which are not inline with Gurmat, these are not padaraths defined by Gurmukhs but by Manmukhs.
