Adi Bir

The Adi Bir (the First) Bir (hand scribed volume) of the (Guru) Granth Sahib finished by Guru Arjan in 1604. On the completion of the Bir Bhai Banno was sent to Lahore to have the holy volume bound.
Guru Arjan installed the Adi Bir in the Harimandar.
