Aashiq means lover or fancier. the Word is of Muslim Origin and gender is male. Aashiq word is used in guru grath sahib as Aasik. Guru Granth sahib tells us the true form of love and the true attitude of lover. acc. to guru granth sahib the lover is one who totally absobs in one with whom he loves. He never loves any other. he stay for one only. If a person whose taste change and whose heart falls on other is not a true lover. A lover always loves his/her love without having in mind wether he is good or bad. If a person is doing something good for you and you loves him and if that person is doing something bad you started hating him. This is not a true attitude of lover. A Lover never goes into accounts.

Guru Granth Sahib says about love of god as the whole granth is about love of god. We read various love tales of various writers, some orignal and some fake, they wrote whole granths to explain the love but i salute to guru granth sahib who explained true love and attitude of lover in four lines only. THese four lines are base of all love tales, but love to god also. These four lines were written by second guru guru angad dev ji.
