I have had to move your page '''"Gurdwara Guru Nanak Darbar BHEL Haridwar"''to [[Gurdwara Guru Nanak Darbar BHEL Haridwar]] - That is remove the quotes as otherwise you would not be able to find the page unless the exact quotes were typed - Unfortunately, it appears to have lost the history on this page. Either you can copy to your local computer, delete the page and then re-instate the page to start new history showing you as the author or if this is not important to you, you can leave the page as it is.[[user:Hari singh | Hari singh]]

WJKF, thanks for the link for the Suraj Parkash download page. I've updated accordingly. I've taken the liberty of changing your additions to the [[Guru Nanak in Tibet]] article to integrate them into the main artcile and it make it, hopefully, seamless. Great pic! Thank you for adding the picture & description - This is very interesting and a revelation. I wonder if you have any more close ups of the Gurdwaras in this area. If you do, please add them at the bottom of the article with a description and Navroop or myself will adjust them if necessary. I am most grateful. Please continue with this good work! --[[User:Hari singh| Hari Singh ]] 04:20, 29 Aug 2005 (Central Daylight Time)

I have read your comments on the discussion page at [[Charitropakhyan]] and would say that the passage in the Dasam Granth refers to a King not to Guru Gobind Singh. I believe that it may be [[Charitar 21]] or [[Charitar 16]]. [[Charitropakhyan#Translations|See the English translation links here]].  If Professor ji has said that this was Guru Gobind Singh then we need to investigate the original text to see exactly what is said. Please read the charitars and please let me know what you think. Also, can you summarise what professor has said at Rochester Gurdwara? WKWF !
I think that is the right and most important initial position: Guru Granth Sahib is our Guru; everything else is in a lower second place or even lower. None can be equal to the pure Guru. This is our blessing that we can say this with complete trust and conviction as the Gurus themselves prepared this Granth and urged us all to consider it our "living" Guru; they tied us and joined us to the Guru Granth.

Bhai sahib ji, even the Dasam Granth has to take second place and so can never equal the status of the Guru Granth Sahib. I still believe that the Dasam Granth has some important messages for the human race but only once we have accepted and understood the basic and underlying message of the holy Granth.

Hi Guglani, WKWF
I agree that the text of the Dasam Granth is challenging and that we should treat it with caution and anxiety as the pedigree and other issues are still not fully resolved. However, the 2 or 3 charitars that I quoted offer some interesting insight into the "tricks" and "drama" that some people regularly utilise these days. Alas, as I find the original text of the Dasam Granth difficult to understand, I will stick to reading Gurbani most of which is so easily to understand and appreciate and where there are so many other resources and analysis to help understand the deeper meanings of the message of the Gurus.

I saw your query of the talk page of Gurdwara Map - If I understand your question, then you wish the entry on the Map system to link to the Gurdwara article on Sikhiwiki.
Bhai sahib, I will transfer these messages to the [[Charitropakhyan]] discussion page soon so that anyone reading the article can also read these messages if they want. Mnay thanks; kind regards, [[user:hari singh|Hari Singh]][[User talk:Hari singh|talk]] 20:39, 15 February 2010 (UTC)

This works through the Name field on Map system. This field has to match exactly the name of the article on Sikhiwiki. Also, the Space character has to be entered as underscore.
== Correct web address for official site of encyclopaedia of Sikhism ==

If the two titles are different, then clicking on the name field on Map will take you to a new page on Sikhiwiki. Here enter the following:
Dear Guglani ji,

  <nowiki> #redirect [[article name]] </nowiki>
{{WKWF}}

where article name is the title of the Gurdwara artcile in Sikhiwiki.
Many thanks for correcting the web address for the above site. Obviously my Google search did not produce the correct result. I am most grateful for your very valued help in enhancing our joint efforts here at SikhiWiki.

As an example, checkout the entry highlighted below on the sceenshot of [[Gurdwaras UK]] part of Maps for GNNSJ Gurdwara in Birmingham, UK.
Kind regards, [[user:hari singh|Hari Singh]][[User talk:Hari singh|talk]] 15:14, 8 February 2012 (CST)

If you click on this Gurdwara on [[Gurdwaras UK]], (zoom in to level 7 & find Birmingham and then find this Gurdwara), a small window will pop up as per the screenshot. Then click on the Gurdwara name on this window and this will take you to the article in Sikhiwiki.

Yes, we do have a few introductory pages in other languages which have been added by lovers of Sikhi from various parts of the world where they do not all speak English. [[Введение в Сикхизм]] is an "Introduction to Sikhism" in Russian as you can see [http://translate.google.co.uk/translate?sl=auto&tl=en&js=n&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&layout=2&eotf=1&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.sikhiwiki.org%2Findex.php%2F%25D0%2592%25D0%25B2%25D0%25B5%25D0%25B4%25D0%25B5%25D0%25BD%25D0%25B8%25D0%25B5_%25D0%25B2_%25D0%25A1%25D0%25B8%25D0%25BA%25D1%2585%25D0%25B8%25D0%25B7%25D0%25BC here]

Khalsa Ji,

I am most grateful to you for setting-up more Gurdwaras on Sikhiwiki - They are absolutely wonderful and I am sure that Bibi ji Upinder Kaur will not object to the use of her photos. I will post a message on her user talk page as well at a later stage.
To help the technical people, could you kindly please send me a screen-print of the error screen.

Please do carry on with this great effort and if I can help in any way please do not hesitate to post the query on my user talk page.
Many thanks. [[user:hari singh|Hari Singh]][[User talk:Hari singh|talk]] 14:47, 12 June 2013 (CDT)

== Bhai Vir Singh Article ==

Respected Guglani Ji

Many thanks for your message. Below are my replies - I hope they will help!!

You asked: ''I wish to link Bhai Vir Singh article in en.wikpedia to Bhai Vir Singh article in sikhiwiki. How to copy paste this?''

Reply: As wikipedia is a GFDL/public Domain/no copyright, you are allowed to use this material provided the source is acknowledged.
1. To link using square brackets use the link:

<nowiki> [[wikipedia:Bhai Vir Singh|Bhai Sahib Ji]] </nowiki>

[[wikipedia:Bhai Vir Singh|Bhai Sahib Ji]]

2. To copy & Paste: Edit the page in wikipedia and select the required text; do a 'copy' of the text. 'Paste' this onto the Sikhiwiki page of a similar name. Make sure you have acknowledged that the information is sourced from Wikipedia.

You Asked: ''I also like to link photo of Bhai Vir Singh, uploaded as image in sikhiwiki from tribune site,to above page on bhai vir singh in sikhiwiki.please tell me how to do this?''

Reply: This is very similar to 2 above: clicking on the photo on Wikipedia or other site will enlarge to original image (if it is reduced version of the picture) - clicking right button & save image and copy this to your local computer. Then upload this to Sikhiwiki in the normal way. Again please acknowledge the source.

You Asked: ''Further in Category biographical and sub category early gursikh personalities ;some personalities like principal jodh singh,Teja singh,Karam singh historian etc need be added ;how to do that also?''

Reply: Edit the article ie jodh singh, etc and at the bottom added the category like this:

<nowiki> [[Category:Biographical]] or
[[Category:Early Gursikh Personalities]] , etc in double square brackets
</nowiki>

I hope this helps otherwise just send another mesaage, Goodluck!! and best wished --[[User:Hari singh|Hari Singh]] 11:00, 12 June 2006 (Central Daylight Time)

*: Thank you for your message. I have sent another email to Gurumustuk Singh who is at the Summer Solstice until 25 June and have listed the following problems: <br><br>* :1a. Previous Gurmukhi characters don't display in display mode. see [[Mool Mantra]]- But if you enter them again, they show in preview but when saved they don't display correctly ie: <big> ? ??? ???? ???? ????? ????? ??????? ???? ????? ????? ???? ??? ??????? ?</big>. So we need to know if the old Gurmukhi text will need to be re-entered or can it be automatically corrected or restored from old data?<br><br>* :1b. Also previously entered extended ASCII characters don't display correctly see [[Template:Sikh History]] - The dot character displays as A., Also extended quote marks don't display correctly. However if these characters are entered now, they display correctly. ie:
