Chaur(i)

  • Yak hair or manmade fiber embedded in a metal placed in a wooden handle. It is cerimonially waved over the Guru Granth Sahib as a symbol of respect.

I hope this helps

jha.la.rs - what are the periods about?

definition (pages) needed and what is - jha.la.rs - what are the periods about? Allenwalla 20:07, 2 August 2009 (UTC)

I think the dots are only to help with pronunciation - "jhaal'araa" means Anklets or decorations / jewellery worn round the ankles. See Anklets Hari Singhtalk 02:19, 3 August 2009 (UTC)
