Does anyone know when this symbol got adopted by Sikhs? Is there any official recognition for this symbol? I.e., by SGPC or any other Sikh organization. I read that it wasn't the symbol at Banda Bahadur's time or even in British Sikh army. So, when did we make this the most important symbol for sikhs!
