Though Slum-dog millionaire was not about Sikhs or singers I could not help noticing the parallel to the story of unknown figure, pure of heart who becomes the idol of the whole nation, (the classic rags to riches story) even the filmed judges interactions of Ishmeet on Youtube reminded me of the banter used by the host (Kapoor) in the movie. I kept thinking Ishmeet and when in the last few scenes there was a lone Sikh sitting stealing the center of the shots during the final few questions, again it made me think of Ishmeet / why give and unknown Sikh equal billing between the two stars' faces in these final scenes--maybe I am just a sentimental old fool a romantic at heart.
