Talk:Guru

This page states that the Guru (Sikhi) is called a ladder or boatman. Is this correct? Or is it a typo for leader? The idea of laffer or stairs (to heaven) where one can sit or dwell in God's presence with streets of gold (Bible) and rivers of wine (Qur'an) is common in the Abrahamic traditions, I have not seen it expressed before in Sikhi. Wher would such a ladder or staircase go to a formless and undefinable location?

The Har ki Pauri or steps to God at the rear of the Harmandar Sahib , silver or golden replicas of which are worn by many Sikhs have also been a question in my mind? As they desend into the poll of Amrit - I could use some clarity. Please advise if you have thoughts on guidance on this topic - anyone. Allenwalla 08:31, 7 October 2009 (UTC)
