1. Bhagats: Hindus or Muslims?

The Bani of 15 Bhagats is recorded in the Sri Guru Granth Sahib. We often say, just to convince others that Sikhi loves all religions, that SGGS has Bani of Muslims and Hindus (and Sufis). But if we read some of their Bani, we can clearly see how they spoke out against various forms of worship/rituals of the Hindu and Muslim religions, that we link them to.

In the same Bani it is written 'Hindu Anna Turku Kana, Doha Te Gyani Siana' (A Hindu is blind and a Muslim has only one eye. The learned one is better than both). Na Hum Hindu Na Musalman (I'm Neither a Hindu nor a Muslim)

Above all, it is also said that most of the Bhagats met guru Nanak Dev Ji. Bhagat Kabir met Guru Nanak in Sultanpur, many bhagats such as Bhagat Ravidas met Guru Nanak in Ayodhya, where a Gurdwara now stands in memory of the occasion

Patience please.

This article is under construction.

Right now I can't add lots of stuff ~,

I'm adding stuff as it comes from my mind, research and structure to come later.

______________________________

  1. Sheikh Farid was a Muslim.
  2. Bhagat namdev was hindu, He says hindu anna turku kana, but he is praying Beethula, he is praying Vishnu he is praying Garurh. We sikh for our selfish motives change the orignal interpretations. Bhagat Namdev is preaching Hinduism like in Dasam Granth Guru Gobind SIngh preaching pilgrimage bath.
  3. Bhagat Dhanna in Gopal tero aarta is demanding worldly things like Dal, Gheo, Horses, Buffalo, Girl etc. Gurmukh always hunger of Naam. These things keep no significance, how unsignificant things are added? Dhanna was a Idol worshipper as per his hitory.
  4. Bhagat Jaidev was a Krishna Bhagat called Jagannath.
  5. Ramanand, parmanand, Pipa etc were all Vaishnav saints.
  6. Bhagat Sain was vishnu bhagat clear from his word Kamla Pati. you can ask anyone Kamla means lakshmi and pati means husband and husband of lakshmi is vishnu

So a person who interpret Dasam Granth as per hindu mindiology should interpret these bani as per that mindiology. (Lucky 07:04, 1 January 2010 (UTC))
