Dear Allenwalla ji,

As Sikhs, we only care about Baba Sri Chand and Baba Lakhmi Das because of their father, Guru Nanak and not for their personal beliefs. If anything, their beliefs we don't really care about. To understand the picture, you need to look at the bottom of this site from where the second article was obtained - sikh-heritage.co.uk. I hope it helps. Hari Singh 21:34, 26 October 2007 (EDT)

Revision as of 19:34, 26 October 2007

Could anyone explain the picture?

Obviously Chand Baba is depicted as a blue Khrisna with his right arm in the the strange arm support i often see Valmiki with his rt. arm in. Are the people depicted on the flying horse meant to be his father, mother and brother? As he has no hand and his (left) arm turns into the family… i assume this to be painted by someone who does not know of the low regard the left hand is held in in much of Asia as reflected throughout the world in words for the left hand.

What is the flying saddled goat or kutta meant to signify? anyone who knows... or cares Allenwalla 19:23, 26 October 2007 (EDT) color me puzzled...

also wonder about the arm crutch? Respondez, S'il Vous Plaît?

perhaps

looking at the pix again and not being able to read the script inthe pix maybe i have misinterpreted and the bearded man is Sri Chand praying to Krishna. confused

Sir Allenwalla ji,

Since Baba Sri Chand was least interested in Sikhism and became a Sadhu. His history has been hijacked by Sanatanis (Hindus),with the passage of time they converted the colour of his body to show him a Hindu God. In the picture it is shown that his brother Lakhmi chand was going to God with his wife and son on his horse. Sri Chand snatced his brother's son by increasing the length of his arm with a fear that their 'Bansh' will stop if they all fly to God. This is the story made by Udasis. user:sarbjeet_1313me
