Sikhs in Canada have been very active in the provincial and federal government levels.
Ujjal Dosanjh and Herb Dhaliwal have had senior cabinet positions at the federal level of government as Minister of Health and Minister of Natural Resources, respectively. Harinder Takhar has the important role of Minister of Transportation with the current Provincial government.
Other Sikhs are coming up the pipeline and it should be no surprise to anyone if the go all the way to the top.
