SikhiWiki:Relevant

The threshold for inclusion of an article in SikhiWiki is Relevance' to Sikhism. "Relevance" in this context means that the content of the article must have a connection to Sikhism and be relevant to the Sikh sangat.

SikhiWiki:Relevance is one of SikhiWiki's four content-guiding policies. The other three are SikhiWiki:Verifiability, SikhiWiki:No original research and SikhiWiki:Neutral point of view. Jointly, these policies determine the type and quality of material that is acceptable to SikhiWiki. They should not be interpreted in isolation from one another, and editors should therefore try to familiarize themselves with all four. The principles upon which these four policies are based are negotiable only at the foundation level by organisation like the Wikipedia Foundation, not by SikhiWiki so that material here is found acceptable by external sources.

One of the keys to writing good encyclopaedia articles is to understand that they must refer only to facts, assertions, theories, ideas, claims, opinions, and arguments that have already been published by reputable publishers. The goal of SikhiWiki is to become a complete and reliable encyclopedia. Editors should cite reliable sources so that their edits may be verified by readers and other editors.

As such, only articles that are relevant to Sikhi will be allowed to be posted. If the article has no relevance or connection of Sikhism, it will be removed. Therefore, please only post articles which are balanced, and have a relevance to Sikhism.
