This is the samadh (tomb) of famous Sikh Misldar (Leader of the Ahluvalia Misl), Sultan-ul-Qaum, Jassa Singh Ahluwalia.

The term Sultan-ul-Quam (Sultan of the Community) Nawab (a deputy ruler or viceroy in India; also, a title given by courtesy to other persons of high rank in the East.) were honorific titles bestowed upon the Sardar after the taking of Lahore.
