The Rashtriya Sikh Sangat is an arm of the right-wing Hindu-nationalist Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in India. It is perceived as one among the several subsidiaries of RSS that operate in the state of Punjab to further the anti-Sikh propaganda of the RSS.

A 2002 claim by RSS that "Sikhs are Hindus" led to an outcry among Sikhs. In 2004 the leader of the Akal Takht, the highest Sikh political institution, declared the Rashtriya Sikh Sangat as "Anti-Sikh", and forbade all Sikhs from having any association with it. In 2009, Rulda Singh, the president of the Rashtriya Sikh Sangat was assassinated.
