ਅਥ ਰਾਵਨ ਜ੝ੱਧ ਕਥਨੰ ॥ अथ रावन जढ़ढ़ध कथनं ॥ Now begins the description of the war with Ravna :

ਹੋਹਾ ਛੰਦ ॥ होहा छंद ॥ HOHA STANZA

ਸ੝ਣਿਯੋ ਇੱਸੰ ॥ ਜਿਣਿਯੋ ਕਿੱਸੰ ॥ ਚਪਿਯੋ ਚਿੱਤੰ ॥ ਬ੝ੱਲਯੋ ਬਿੱਤੰ ॥੫੨੭॥ सढ़णियो इसं ॥ जिणियो किढ़सं ॥ चपियो चिढ़तं ॥ बढ़ढ़लयो बिढ़तं ॥५२७॥ Ravna heard about the victory (of Ram), he being highly infuriated in his mind, began to shout violently.527.

ਘਿਰਿਯੋ ਗੜੰ ॥ ਰਿਸੰ ਬੜੰ ॥ ਭਜੀ ਤ੝ਰਿਯੰ ॥ ਭ੝ਰਮੀ ਭਯੰ ॥੫੨੮॥ घिरियो गड़ं ॥ रिसं बड़ं ॥ भजी तढ़रियं ॥ भढ़रमी भयं ॥५२८॥ Seeing his citadel besieged his ire grew more and he saw women running away in fear.528.

ਭ੝ਰਮੀ ਤਬੈ ॥ ਭਜੀ ਸਭੈ ॥ ਤ੝ਰਿਯੰ ਇਸੰ ॥ ਗਹਿਯੋ ਕਿਸੰ ॥੫੨੯॥ भढ़रमी तबै ॥ भजी सभै ॥ तढ़रियं इसं ॥ गहियो किसं ॥५२९॥ All the women are running away in illusion and Ravana obstructed them catching their hair.529.

ਕਰੈ ਹਹੰ ॥ ਅਹੋ ਦਯੰ ॥ ਕਰੋ ਗਈ ॥ ਛਮੋ ਭਈ ॥੫੩੦॥ करै हहं ॥ अहो दयं ॥ करो गई ॥ छमो भई ॥५३०॥ They were lamenting profusely and praying to God and were asking for forgiveness for their sins.530.

ਸ੝ਣੀ ਸ੝ਰ੝ੱਤੰ ॥ ਧ੝ਣੰ ਉਤੰ ॥ ਉਠਿਯੋ ਹਠੀ ॥ ਜਿਮੰ ਭਠੀ ॥੫੩੧॥ सढ़णी सढ़रढ़ढ़तं ॥ धढ़णं उतं ॥ उठियो हठी ॥ जिमं भठी ॥५३१॥ That persistent Ravana got up on listening to such sounds and it seemed that a fire cauldron was blazing.531.

ਕਛਿਯੋ ਨਰੰ ॥ ਤਜੇ ਸਰੰ ॥ ਹਣੇ ਕਿਸੰ ॥ ਰ੝ਕੀ ਦਿਸੰ ॥੫੩੨॥ कछियो नरं ॥ तजे सरं ॥ हणे किसं ॥ रढ़की दिसं ॥५३२॥ He began to kill the human army and with his arrows all the directions were obstructed.532.

ਤ੝ਰਿਣਣਿਣ ਛੰਦ ॥ तढ़रिणणिण छंद ॥ TRINANIN STANZA

ਤ੝ਰਿਣਣਿਣ ਤੀਰੰ ॥ ਬ੝ਰਿਣਣਿਣ ਬੀਰੰ ॥ तढ़रिणणिण तीरं ॥ बढ़रिणणिण बीरं ॥ The arrows were discharged and the warriors were wounded.

ਢ੝ਰਣਣਣਿ ਢਾਲੰ ॥ ਜ੝ਰਣਣਣ ਜ੝ਵਾਲੰ ॥੫੩੩॥ ढढ़रणणणि ढालं ॥ जढ़रणणण जढ़वालं ॥५३३॥ The shields were slipping down and the fires blzed.533.

ਖ੝ਰਣਣਿਣ ਖੋਲੰ ॥ ਬ੝ਰਣਣਣਿ ਬੋਲੰ ॥ ਕ੝ਰਣਣਿਣ ਰੋਸੰ ॥ ਜ੝ਰਣਣਿਣ ਜੋਸੰ ॥੫੩੪॥ खढ़रणणिण खोलं ॥ बढ़रणणणि बोलं ॥ कढ़रणणिण रोसं ॥ जढ़रणणिण जोसं ॥५३४॥ The helmets were knocked and the wounds were caused, the warriors were infuriated and their zeal grew.534.

ਬ੝ਰਣਣਿਣ ਬਾਜੀ ॥ ਤ੝ਰਿਣਣਿਣ ਤਾਜੀ ॥ ਜ੝ਰਣਣਿਣ ਜੂਝੇ ॥ ਲ੝ਰਣਣਿਣ ਲੂਝੇ ॥੫੩੫॥ बढ़रणणिण बाजी ॥ तढ़रिणणिण ताजी ॥ जढ़रणणिण जूझे ॥ लढ़रणणिण लूझे ॥५३५॥ The fast-moving horses began to run and the warriors obtained salvation after severe fighting.535.

ਹਰਣਿਣ ਹਾਥੀ ॥ ਸਰਣਿਣ ਸਾਥੀ ॥ ਭਰਣਿਣ ਭਾਜੇ ॥ ਲਰਣਿਣ ਲਾਜੇ ॥੫੩੬॥ हरणिण हाथी ॥ सरणिण साथी ॥ भरणिण भाजे ॥ लरणिण लाजे ॥५३६॥ The elephants ran like deer and the warriors took refuge with their comrades; the enemies ran and felt shy of fighting.536.

ਚਰਣਿਣ ਚਰਮੰ ॥ ਬਰਣਿਣ ਬਰਮੰ ॥ ਕਰਣਿਣ ਕਾਟੇ ॥ ਬਰਣਿਣ ਬਾਟੇ ॥੫੩੭॥ चरणिण चरमं ॥ बरणिण बरमं ॥ करणिण काटे ॥ बरणिण बाटे ॥५३७॥ The bodies and the armours were cut, the ears and eyes were amputated.537.

ਮਰਣਣ ਮਾਰੇ ॥ ਤਰਣਣ ਤਾਰੇ ॥ ਜਰਣਣ ਜੀਤਾ ॥ ਸਰਣਣ ਸੀਤਾ ॥੫੩੮॥ मरणण मारे ॥ तरणण तारे ॥ जरणण जीता ॥ सरणण सीता ॥५३८॥ The warriors breathed their last and ferried across the world-ocean, some were burnt in the fire of ire and took rufuge.538.

ਗਰਣਣ ਗੈਣੰ ॥ ਅਰਣਣ ਝਣੰ ॥ ਹਰਣਣ ਹੂਰੰ ॥ ਪਰਣਣ ਪੂਰੰ ॥੫੩੯॥ गरणण गैणं ॥ अरणण झणं ॥ हरणण हूरं ॥ परणण पूरं ॥५३९॥ The gods moved in their air-vehicles and saw the scene; the heavenly damsels wandered and began to wed the warriors.539.

ਬਰਣਣ ਬਾਜੇ ॥ ਗਰਣਣ ਗਾਜੇ ॥ ਸਰਣਣ ਸ੝ੱਝੇ ॥ ਜਰਣਣ ਜ੝ੱਝੇ ॥੫੪੦॥ बरणण बाजे ॥ गरणण गाजे ॥ सरणण सढ़ढ़झे ॥ जरणण जढ़ढ़झे ॥५४०॥ Various types of musical instruments resounded and the elephants thundered; the warriors took refuge while some began to fight.,540.

ਤ੝ਰਿਗਤਾ ਛੰਦ ॥ तढ़रिगता छंद ॥ TRIGTAA STANZA

ਤੱਤ ਤੀਰੰ ॥ ਬੱਬ ਬੀਰੰ ॥ਢੱਲ ਢਾਲੰ ॥ ਜੱਜ ਜ੝ਆਲੰ ॥੫੪੧॥ तढ़त तीरं ॥ बढ़ब बीरं ॥ढढ़ल ढालं ॥ जढ़ज जढ़आलं ॥५४१॥ The arrows began to kill warriors and the fire came out of the shelds.541.

ਤੱਜ ਤਾਜੀ ॥ ਗੱਗ ਗਾਜੀ ॥ ਮੱਮ ਮਾਰੇ ॥ ਤੱਤ ਤਾਰੇ ॥੫੪੨॥ तढ़ज ताजी ॥ गढ़ग गाजी ॥ मढ़म मारे ॥ तढ़त तारे ॥५४२॥ The horses began to run and the warriors began to roar; they began to kill one another and ferry across the worls-ocean.542.

ਜੱਜ ਜੀਤੇ ॥ ਲੱਲ ਲੀਤੇ ॥ ਤੱਤ ਤੋਰੇ ॥ ਛੱਛ ਛੋਰੇ ॥੫੪੩॥ जढ़ज जीते ॥ लढ़ल लीते ॥ तढ़त तोरे ॥ छढ़छ छोरे ॥५४३॥ After gaining victory in war, the enemies were being made allies, the cleavage was caused amongst the warriors and they were also being forsaken.543.

ਰੱਰ ਰਾਜੰ ॥ ਗੱਗ ਗਾਜੰ ॥ ਧੱਧ ਧਾਯੰ ॥ ਚੱਚ ਚਾਯੰ ॥੫੪੪॥ ढ़रर राजं ॥ गढ़ग गाजं ॥ धढ़ध धायं ॥ चढ़च चायं ॥५४४॥ The king Ravana thundered violently and with great zeal marched forward.544.

ਡੱਡ ਡਿੱਗੇ ॥ ਭੱਭ ਭਿੱਗੇ ॥ ਸੱਸ ਸ੝ਰੋਣੰ ॥ ਤੱਤ ਤੋਣੰ ॥੫੪੫॥ डढ़ड डिढ़गे ॥ भढ़भ भिढ़गे ॥ सढ़स सढ़रोणं ॥ तढ़त तोणं ॥५४५॥ The warriors began to fall after being saturated with blood and th blood was flowing like water.545.

ਸੱਸ ਸਾਧੈਂ ॥ ਬੱਬ ਬਾਧੈਂ ॥ ਅੱਅ ਅੰਗੰ ॥ ਜੱਜ ਜੰਗੰ ॥੫੪੬॥ सढ़स साधैं ॥ बढ़ब बाधैं ॥ अअ अंगं ॥ जढ़ज जंगं ॥५४६॥ There is lot of discipline and lot of obstruction; the limbs are being chopped in the war. 546

ਕੱਕ ਕ੝ਰੋਧੰ ॥ ਜੱਜ ਜੋਧੰ ॥ ਘੱਘ ਘਾਝ ॥ ਧੱਧ ਧਾਝ ॥੫੪੭॥ कढ़क कढ़रोधं ॥ जढ़ज जोधं ॥ घढ़घ घाझ ॥ धढ़ध धाझ ॥५४७॥ There is lot of discipline and lot of obstruction; the limbs are being chopped in the war.547.

ਹੱਹ ਹੂਰੰ ॥ ਪੱਪ ਪੂਰੰ ॥ ਗੱਗ ਗੈਣੰ ॥ ਅੱਅ ਝਣੰ ॥੫੪੮॥ हढ़ह हूरं ॥ पढ़प पूरं ॥ गढ़ग गैणं ॥ अअ झणं ॥५४८॥ The sky is becoming full of heavenly damsels.548.

ਬੱਬ ਬਾਣੰ ॥ ਤੱਤ ਤਾਣੰ ॥ ਛੱਛ ਛੋਰੈਂ ॥ ਜੱਜ ਜੋਰੈਂ ॥੫੪੯॥ बढ़ब बाणं ॥ तढ़त ताणं ॥ छढ़छ छोरैं ॥ जढ़ज जोरैं ॥५४९॥ The warriors are pulling bows and discharging arrows.549.

ਬੱਬ ਬਾਜੇ ॥ ਗੱਗ ਗਾਜੇ ॥ ਭੱਭ ਭੂਮੰ ॥ ਝੱਝ ਝੂਮੰ ॥੫੫੦॥ बढ़ब बाजे ॥ गढ़ग गाजे ॥ भढ़भ भूमं ॥ झढ़झ झूमं ॥५५०॥ The musical instruments are resounding, the warriors are thundering and are falling on the ground after swinging.550.

ਅਨਾਦ ਛੰਦ ॥ अनाद छंद ॥ ANAAD STANZA

ਚੱਲੇ ਬਾਣ ਰ੝ੱਕੇ ਗੈਣ ॥ ਮੱਤੇ ਸੂਰ ਰੱਤੇ ਨੈਣ ॥ चढ़ले बाण रढ़ढ़के गैण ॥ मढ़ते सूर ढ़रते नैण ॥ The sky is torn with arrows and the eyes of the warriors are getting red;

ਢੱਕੇ ਢੋਲ ਢ੝ੱਕੀ ਢਾਲ ॥ ਛ੝ੱਟੈ ਬਾਨ ਉੱਠੈ ਜ੝ਵਾਲ ॥੫੫੧॥ ढढ़के ढोल ढढ़ढ़की ढाल ॥ छढ़ढ़टै बान उठै जढ़वाल ॥५५१॥ The knocking on the shields is being heard and the rising flames re being seen.551.

ਭਿੱਗੇ ਸ੝ਰੋਣਿ ਡਿੱਗੇ ਸੂਰ ॥ ਝ੝ੱਮੇ ਭੂਮਿ ਘ੝ੱਮੀ ਹੂਰ ॥ भिढ़गे सढ़रोणि डिढ़गे सूर ॥ झढ़ढ़मे भूमि घढ़ढ़मी हूर ॥ The warriors saturated with blood, are falling down on the earth and the heavenly damsels are roaming;

ਬੱਜੇ ਸੰਖ ਸੱਦੰ ਗੱਦ ॥ ਤਾਲੰ ਸੰਖ ਭੇਰੀ ਨੱਦ ॥੫੫੨॥ बढ़जे संख सढ़दं गढ़द ॥ तालं संख भेरी नढ़द ॥५५२॥ The sky is filled with the sounds of conches, other tunes and drums.552.

ਤ੝ੱਟੇ ਤ੝ਰਾਣ ਫ੝ੱਟੇ ਅੰਗ ॥ ਜ੝ੱਝੇ ਵੀਰ ਰ੝ੱਝੇ ਜੰਗਿ ॥ तढ़ढ़टे तढ़राण फढ़ढ़टे अंग ॥ जढ़ढ़झे वीर रढ़ढ़झे जंगि ॥ The armours of the warriors have been torn and they are fighting in the war;

ਮੱਚੇ ਸੂਰ ਨੱਚੀ ਹੂਰ ॥ ਮੱਤੀ ਧ੝ਮ ਭੂਮੀ ਪੂਰ ॥੫੫੩॥ मढ़चे सूर नढ़ची हूर ॥ मढ़ती धढ़म भूमी पूर ॥५५३॥ The brave fighters are confronting one another and the heavenly damsels are dancing; there is talk of war on the earth.553.

ਉੱਠੇ ਅੱਧ ਬੱਧ ਕਮੱਧ ॥ ਪੱਖਰ ਰਾਗ ਖੋਲ ਸਨੱਧ ॥ उठे अध बढ़ध कमढ़ध ॥ पढ़खर राग खोल सनढ़ध ॥ The headless trunks arose in the war and were opening their gauzy armour;

ਛੱਕੇ ਛੋਭ ਛ੝ੱਟੇ ਕੇਸ ॥ ਸੰਘਰਿ ਸੂਰ ਸਿੰਘਨ ਭੇਸ ॥੫੫੪॥ छढ़के छोभ छढ़ढ़टे केस ॥ संघरि सूर सिंघन भेस ॥५५४॥ With garbs like lions the warriors are highly infuriated and their hair have loosened.554.

ਟ੝ੱਟਰ ਟੀਕ ਟ੝ੱਟੇ ਟੋਪ ॥ ਭੱਗੇ ਭੂਪ ਭੰਨੀ ਧੋਪ ॥ टढ़ढ़टर टीक टढ़ढ़टे टोप ॥ भढ़गे भूप भंनी धोप ॥ The helmets have broken and the kings have fled away;

ਘ੝ੱਮੇ ਘਾਇ ਝੂਮੀ ਭੂਮਿ ॥ ਅਉਝੜ ਝਾੜ ਧੂਮੰ ਧੂਮ ॥੫੫੫॥ घढ़ढ़मे घाइ झूमी भूमि ॥ अउझड़ झाड़ धूमं धूम ॥५५५॥ The warriors, having been wounded, are falling on the earth after swinging and with a bang they are falling.555.

ਬੱਜੇ ਨਾਦ ਬਾਦ ਅਪਾਰ ॥ ਸੱਜੇ ਸੂਰ ਵੀਰ ਜ੝ਝਾਰ ॥ बढ़जे नाद बाद अपार ॥ सढ़जे सूर वीर जढ़झार ॥ The large trumpets have resounded and the bedecked warriors are being seen;

ਜ੝ੱਝੇ ਟੂਕ ਟੂਕ ਹ੝ਵੈ ਖੇਤਿ ॥ ਮੱਤੇ ਮੱਦ ਜਾਣ੝ ਅਚੇਤ ॥੫੫੬॥ जढ़ढ़झे टूक टूक हढ़वै खेति ॥ मढ़ते मढ़द जाणढ़ अचेत ॥५५६॥ They are dying in the war being chopped in bits and being intoxicated in war-frenzy, they are becoming unconscious.556.

ਛ੝ੱਟੇ ਸਸਤ੝ਰ ਅਸਤ੝ਰ ਅਨੰਤ ॥ ਰੰਗੇ ਰੰਗ ਭੂਮਿ ਦ੝ਰੰਤ ॥ छढ़ढ़टे ससतढ़र असतढ़र अनंत ॥ रंगे रंग भूमि दढ़रंत ॥ Innumerable weapons and arms are being used and the earth is coloured with blood upto a great distance;

ਖ੝ੱਲੇ ਅੰਧ ਧ੝ੰਧ ਹਥਿਆਰ ॥ ਬੱਕੇ ਸੂਰ ਵੀਰ ਬਿਕ੝ਰਾਰ ॥੫੫੭॥ खढ़ढ़ले अंध धढ़ंध हथिआर ॥ बढ़के सूर वीर बिकढ़रार ॥५५७॥ The weapons are being struck indiscreetly and the terrible warriors are shouting.557.

ਬਿਥ੝ਰੀ ਲ੝ੱਥ ਜ੝ੱਥ ਅਨੇਕ ॥ ਮੱਚੇ ਕੋਟਿ ਭੱਗੇ ਝਕ ॥ बिथढ़री लढ़ढ़थ जढ़ढ़थ अनेक ॥ मढ़चे कोटि भढ़गे झक ॥ The clusters of corpses are lying scattered; the warriors are engrossed in a horrible war on one side and on the other, some of them are running away.

ਹੱਸੇ ਭੂਤ ਪ੝ਰੇਤ ਮਸਾਣ ॥ ਲ੝ੱਝੇ ਜ੝ੱਝ ਰ੝ੱਝ ਕ੝ਰਿਪਾਣ ॥੫੫੮॥ हढ़से भूत पढ़रेत मसाण ॥ लढ़ढ़झे जढ़ढ़झ रढ़ढ़झ कढ़रिपाण ॥५५८॥ The ghosts and friends are laughing in the cemeteries and here the brave fighters are fighting after receiving blows of swords.558.

ਬਹੜਾ ਛੰਦ ॥ बहड़ा छंद ॥ BAHRAA STANZA

ਅਧਿਕ ਰੋਸ ਕਰਿ ਰਾਜ ਪਖਰੀਆ ਧਾਵਹੀ ॥ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਮ ਬਿਨ੝ ਸੰਕ ਪ੝ਕਾਰਤ ਆਵਹੀ ॥ अधिक रोस करि राज पखरीआ धावही ॥ राम राम बिनढ़ संक पढ़कारत आवही ॥ The demon warriors wearing armours, march forward in great fury, but on reaching within the forces of Ram, they become like followers of Ram and begin to shout the name of Ram;

ਰ੝ੱਝ ਜ੝ੱਝ ਝੜਿ ਪੜਤ ਭਯਾਨਕ ਭੂਮਿ ਪਰ ॥ ਰਾਮਚੰਦ੝ਰ ਕੇ ਹਾਥ ਗਝ ਭਵਸਿੰਧ ਤਰਿ ॥੫੫੯॥ रढ़ढ़झ जढ़ढ़झ झड़ि पड़त भयानक भूमि पर ॥ रामचंदढ़र के हाथ गझ भवसिंध तरि ॥५५९॥ While fighting they fall down on the earth in a dreadful posture and ferring across the world-ocean at the hands of Ram.559.

ਸਿਮਟ ਸਾਂਗ ਸੰਗ੝ਰਹੈ ਸਮੂਹ ਹ੝ਝ ਜੂਝਹੀ ॥ ਟੂਕ ਟੂਕ ਹ੝ਝ ਗਿਰਤ ਨ ਘਰ ਕਹ੝ ਬੂਝਹੀ ॥ सिमट सांग संगढ़रहै समूह हढ़झ जूझही ॥ टूक टूक हढ़झ गिरत न घर कहढ़ बूझही ॥ After revolving and holding the lance the warriors come forward and fight and fall down on being chopped into bits;

ਖੰਡ ਖੰਡ ਹ੝ਝ ਗਿਰਤ ਖੰਡ ਧਨ ਖੰਡ ਰਨਿ ॥ ਤਨਕ ਤਨਕ ਲਗ ਜਾਹਿ ਅਸਨ ਕੀ ਧਾਰ ਤਨਿ ॥੫੬੦॥ खंड खंड हढ़झ गिरत खंड धन खंड रनि ॥ तनक तनक लग जाहि असन की धार तनि ॥५६०॥ On receiving only the small blows of the edge of swords the brave fighters fall down in numerous part.560.

ਸੰਗੀਤ ਬਹੜਾ ਛੰਦ ॥ संगीत बहड़ा छंद ॥ SANGEET BAHRA STANZA

ਸਾਗੜਦੀ ਸਾਂਗ ਸੰਗ੝ਰਹੈ ਤਾਗੜਦੀ ਰਣਿ ਤ੝ਰੀ ਨਚਾਵਹਿ ॥ ਝਾਗੜਦੀ ਝੂਮਿ ਗਿਰਿ ਭੂਮਿ ਸਾਗੜਦੀ ਸ੝ਰਪ੝ਰਹਿ ਸਿਧਾਵਹਿ ॥ सागड़दी सांग संगढ़रहै तागड़दी रणि तढ़री नचावहि ॥ झागड़दी झूमि गिरि भूमि सागड़दी सढ़रपढ़रहि सिधावहि ॥ Holding the lances the warriors are causing them to dance in the war and after swinging and falling on the earth, they are leaving for the abode of gods;

ਆਗੜਦੀ ਅੰਗ ਹ੝ਝ ਭੰਗ ਆਗੜਦੀ ਆਹਵ ਮਹਿ ਡਿਗਹੀ ॥ ਹੋ ਬਾਗੜਦੀ ਵੀਰ ਬਿਕ੝ਰਾਰ ਸਾਗੜਦੀ ਸ੝ਰੋਣਤ ਤਨ ਭਿਗਹੀ ॥੫੬੧॥ आगड़दी अंग हढ़झ भंग आगड़दी आहव महि डिगही ॥ हो बागड़दी वीर बिकढ़रार सागड़दी सढ़रोणत तन भिगही ॥५६१॥ The brave fighters are falling with chopped limbs in the battlefield and their dreadful bodies are saturated with blood.561.

ਰਾਗੜਦੀ ਰੋਸ ਰਿਪ ਰਾਜ ਲਾਗੜਦੀ ਲਛਮਣ ਪੈ ਧਾਯੋ ॥ ਕਾਗੜਦੀ ਕ੝ਰੋਧ ਤਨ ਕੜਿਯੋ ਪਾਗੜਦੀ ਹ੝ਝ ਪਵਨ ਸਿਧਾਯੋ ॥ रागड़दी रोस रिप राज लागड़दी लछमण पै धायो ॥ कागड़दी कढ़रोध तन कड़ियो पागड़दी हढ़झ पवन सिधायो ॥ The enemy-king Ravana fell in great fury on lakshman and went towards him with wind speed and great ire;

ਆਗੜਦੀ ਅਨ੝ਜ ਉਰਿ ਤਾਤ ਘਾਗੜਦੀ ਗਹਿ ਘਾਇ ਪ੝ਰਹਾਰਯੋ ॥ ਝਾਗੜਦੀ ਝੂਮਿ ਭੂਅ ਗਿਰਿਯੋ ਸਾਗੜਦੀ ਸ੝ਤ ਬੈਰ ਉਤਾਰਿਯੋ ॥੫੬੨॥ आगड़दी अनढ़ज उरि तात घागड़दी गहि घाइ पढ़रहारयो ॥ झागड़दी झूमि भूअ गिरियो सागड़दी सढ़त बैर उतारियो ॥५६२॥ He inflicted a wound on the heart of Lakshman and in this way wreaking vengeance on him for the killing of his son, he cused the fall of Lakshman.562.

ਚਾਗੜਦੀ ਚਿੰਕ ਚਾਂਵਡੀ ਡਾਗੜਦੀ ਡਾਕਣਿ ਡੱਕਾਰੀ ॥ ਭਾਗੜਦੀ ਭੂਤ ਭਰ ਹਰੇ ਰਾਗੜਦੀ ਰਣਿ ਰੋਸ ਪ੝ਰਜਾਰੀ ॥ चागड़दी चिंक चांवडी डागड़दी डाकणि डढ़कारी ॥ भागड़दी भूत भर हरे रागड़दी रणि रोस पढ़रजारी ॥ The vultures shriked and the vampires belched; burning in this fire of fury in the battlefield the ghosts and others were filled with joy;

ਮਾਗੜਦੀ ਮੂਰਛਾ ਭਯੋ ਲਾਗੜਦੀ ਲਛਮਣ ਰਣਿ ਜ੝ਝਿਯੋ ॥ ਜਾਗੜਦੀ ਜਾਣ ਜ੝ਝਿ ਗਯੋ ਰਾਗੜਦੀ ਰਘ੝ਪਤਿ ਇਮਿ ਬ੝ਝਿਯੋ ॥੫੬੩॥ मागड़दी मूरछा भयो लागड़दी लछमण रणि जढ़झियो ॥ जागड़दी जाण जढ़झि गयो रागड़दी रघढ़पति इमि बढ़झियो ॥५६३॥ Lakshman while fighting in the field became unconscious and Ram, the king of Raghava clan, considering him dead, became pale.563.

ਧਾਗੜਦੀ ਧਉਲ ਧੜ ਹੜਿਯੋ ਕਾਗੜਦੀ ਕੋੜੰਭ ਕੜਕਿਯੋ ॥ ਭਾਗੜਦੀ ਭੂੰਮਿ ਭੜਹੜੀ ਪਾਗੜਦੀ ਜਨ ਪਲੈ ਪਲਟਿਯੋ ॥੫੬੪॥ धागड़दी धउल धड़ हड़ियो कागड़दी कोड़ढ़मभ कड़कियो ॥ भागड़दी भूमि भड़हड़ी पागड़दी जन पलै पलटियो ॥५६४॥ With the clattering sound of the weapons of Ram, the Bull, the support of the earth trembled and the earth shook as if the doomsday had arrived.564.

ਅਰਧ ਨਰਾਜ ਛੰਦ ॥ अरध नराज छंद ॥ ARDH NARAAJ STANZA

ਕਢੀ ਸ੝ ਤੇਗ ਦ੝ੱਧਰੰ ॥ ਅਨੂਪ ਰੂਪ ਸ੝ੱਭਰੰ ॥ ਭਕਾਰ ਭੇਰਿ ਭੈ ਕਰੰ ॥ ਬਕਾਰ ਬੰਦਣੋ ਬਰੰ ॥੫੬੫॥ कढी सढ़ तेग दढ़ढ़धरं ॥ अनूप रूप सढ़ढ़भरं ॥ भकार भेरि भै करं ॥ बकार बंदणो बरं ॥५६५॥ The double-edged swords came out and Ram seemed greatly impressive; the sound of the kettle-drums was heard and the imprisoned people began to cry.565.

ਬਚਿਤ੝ਰ ਚਿਤ੝ਰਤੰ ਸਰੰ ॥ ਤਜੰਤ ਤੀਖਣੋ ਨਰੰ ॥ ਪਰੰਤ ਜੂਝਤੰ ਭਟੰ ॥ ਜਣੰ ਕਿ ਸਾਵਣੰ ਘਟੰ ॥੫੬੬॥ बचितढ़र चितढ़रतं सरं ॥ तजंत तीखणो नरं ॥ परंत जूझतं भटं ॥ जणं कि सावणं घटं ॥५६६॥ A queer scene was created and the forces of men and monkey fell on the demon forces with sharp nails like the rising clouds of the month of Sawan.566.

ਘ੝ਮੰਤ ਅਘ ਓਘਯੰ ॥ ਬਦੰਤ ਬਕਤ੝ਰ ਤੇ ਜਯੰ ॥ ਚਲੰਤ ਤਯਾਗਿ ਤੇ ਤਨੰ ॥ਭਣੰਤ ਦੇਵਤਾ ਧਨੰ ॥੫੬੭॥ घढ़मंत अघ ओघयं ॥ बदंत बकतढ़र ते जयं ॥ चलंत तयागि ते तनं ॥भणंत देवता धनं ॥५६७॥ The warriors are roaming on all the four sides for the destruction of sins and are challenging one another; the brave fighters are leaving their bodies the gods are shouting "Bravo, Bravo".567.

ਛ੝ਟੰਤ ਤੀਰ ਤੀਖਣੰ ॥ ਬਜੰਤ ਭੇਰਿ ਭੀਖਣੰ ॥ ਉਠੰਤ ਗੱਦ ਸੱਦਣੰ ॥ ਮਸਤ ਜਾਣ ਮਦਣੰ ॥੫੬੮॥ छढ़टंत तीर तीखणं ॥ बजंत भेरि भीखणं ॥ उठंत गढ़द सढ़दणं ॥ मसत जाण मदणं ॥५६८॥ The sharp arrows are being discharged and the terrible kettle-drums are resounding; the intoxicating sounds are being heard from all the four sides.568.

ਕਰੰਤ ਚਾਚਰੋ ਚਰੰ ॥ ਨਚੰਤ ਨਿਰਤਣੋ ਹਰੰ ॥ ਪ੝ਅੰਤ ਪਾਰਬਤੀ ਸਿਰੰ ॥ ਹਸੰਤ ਪ੝ਰੇਤਣੀ ਫਿਰੰ ॥੫੬੯॥ करंत चाचरो चरं ॥ नचंत निरतणो हरं ॥ पढ़अंत पारबती सिरं ॥ हसंत पढ़रेतणी फिरं ॥५६९॥ Shiva and his Ganas (attendants) are seen dancing and it seems that the female ghosts are laughing and bowing their heads before Parvati.569.

ਅਨੂਪ ਨਿਰਾਜ ਛੰਦ ॥ अनूप निराज छंद ॥ ANOOP NIRAAJ STANZA

ਡਕੰਤ ਡਾਕਣੀ ਡ੝ਲੰ ॥ ਭ੝ਰਮੰਤ ਬਾਜ ਕ੝ੰਡਲੰ ॥ ਰੜੰਤ ਬੰਦਿਣੋ ਕ੝ਰਿਤੰ ॥ ਬਦੰਤ ਮਾਗਧੋ ਜਯੰ ॥੫੭੦॥ डकंत डाकणी डढ़लं ॥ भढ़रमंत बाज कढ़ंडलं ॥ रड़ंत बंदिणो कढ़रितं ॥ बदंत मागधो जयं ॥५७०॥ The vampires are roaming and the horses are moving creating a circular spectacle; the warriors are being made prisoners and are hailing.570.

ਢਲੰਤ ਢਾਲ ਉੱਢਲੰ ॥ ਖਿਮੰਤ ਤੇਗ ਨਿਰਮਲੰ ॥ ਚਲੰਤ ਰਾਜਿਵੰ ਸਰੰ ॥ ਪਪਾਤ ਉਰਵੀਅੰ ਨਰੰ ॥੫੭੧॥ ढलंत ढाल उढलं ॥ खिमंत तेग निरमलं ॥ चलंत राजिवं सरं ॥ पपात उरवीअं नरं ॥५७१॥ There are knockings of the blows of the swords on the shields and with the arrows being discharged by the kings the humans and monkeys are falling on the earth.571.

ਭਜੰਤ ਆਸ੝ਰੀ ਸ੝ਤੰ ॥ ਕਿਲੰਕ ਬਾਨਰੀ ਪ੝ਤੰ ॥ ਬਜੰਤ ਤੀਰ ਤ੝ੱਪਕੰ ॥ ਉਠੰਤ ਦਾਰ੝ਣੋ ਸ੝ਰੰ ॥੫੭੨॥ भजंत आसढ़री सढ़तं ॥ किलंक बानरी पढ़तं ॥ बजंत तीर तढ़ढ़पकं ॥ उठंत दारढ़णो सढ़रं ॥५७२॥ On the other side the monkeys are shrieking; on account of what the demons are fleeing; the sounds of arrows and other weapons are creating the terrible and tumultuous resonance.572.

ਭਭੱਕ ਭੂਤ ਭੈ ਕਰੰ ॥ ਚਚੱਕ ਚਉਦਣੋ ਚਕੰ ॥ ਤਤੱਖ ਪੱਖਰੰ ਤ੝ਰੇ ॥ ਬਜੇ ਨਿਨੱਦ ਸਿੰਧ੝ਰੇ ॥੫੭੩॥ भभढ़क भूत भै करं ॥ चचढ़क चउदणो चकं ॥ ततढ़ख पढ़खरं तढ़रे ॥ बजे निनढ़द सिंधढ़रे ॥५७३॥ The groups of ghosts are feeling frightened and perplexed; the armoured horses and roaring elephants are moving in the battlefield.573.

ਉਠੰਤ ਭੈ ਕਰੀ ਸ੝ਰੰ ॥ ਮਚੰਤ ਜੋਧਣੇ ਜ੝ਧੰ ॥ ਖਿਮੰਤ ਉੱਜਲੀ ਅਸੰ ॥ ਬਬਰਖ ਤੀਖਣੋ ਸਰੰ ॥੫੭੪॥ उठंत भै करी सढ़रं ॥ मचंत जोधणे जढ़धं ॥ खिमंत उजली असं ॥ बबरख तीखणो सरं ॥५७४॥ The gods are also becoming fearful on seeing the terrible war of the warriors; the white swords and sharp arrows are being showered.574.

ਜਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਜ੝ੱਝਿਯੋ ਭਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਭ੝ਰਾਤੰ ॥ ਰਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਰਾਮੰ ਤਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਤਾਤੰ ॥ जागड़दंग जढ़ढ़झियो भागड़दंग भढ़रातं ॥ रागड़दंग रामं तागड़दंग तातं ॥ Ram saw his brother Lakshman fighting,

ਬਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਬਾਣੰ ਛਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਛੋਰੇ ॥ ਆਗੜਦੰਗ ਆਕਾਸ ਤੇ ਜਾਨ ਓਰੇ ॥੫੭੫॥ बागड़दंग बाणं छागड़दंग छोरे ॥ आगड़दंग आकास ते जान ओरे ॥५७५॥ And he discharged the arrows touching the sky.575.

ਬਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਬਾਜੀ ਰਥੀ ਬਾਣ ਕਾਟੇ ॥ ਗਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਗਾਜੀ ਗਜੀ ਵੀਰ ਡਾਟੇ ॥ बागड़दंग बाजी रथी बाण काटे ॥ गागड़दंग गाजी गजी वीर डाटे ॥ These arrows chopped the riders on chariots and horses, but still the warriors stood firmly in the field;

ਮਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਮਾਰੇ ਸਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਸੂਰੰ ॥ ਬਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਬਯਾਹੈਂ ਹਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਹੂਰੰ ॥੫੭੬॥ मागड़दंग मारे सागड़दंग सूरं ॥ बागड़दंग बयाहैं हागड़दंग हूरं ॥५७६॥ Ram killed the brave fighters who were wedded by the heavenly damsels.576.

ਜਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਜੀਤਾ ਖਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਖੇਤੰ ॥ ਭਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਭਾਗੇ ਕਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਕੇਤੰ ॥ जागड़दंग जीता खागड़दंग खेतं ॥ भागड़दंग भागे कागड़दंग केतं ॥ In this way the war was conquered and in this war many warriors fled away;

ਸਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਸੂਰਾਨ੝ਜ੝ੰ ਆਨਿ ਪੇਖਾ ॥ ਪਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਪ੝ਰਾਨਾਨ ਤੇ ਪ੝ਰਾਨ ਲੇਖਾ ॥੫੭੭॥ सागड़दंग सूरानढ़जढ़ं आनि पेखा ॥ पागड़दंग पढ़रानान ते पढ़रान लेखा ॥५७७॥ Wherever the brave fighters saw one another, they cleared the account only on sacrificing their lives.577.

ਚਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਚਿੰਤੰ ਪਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਪ੝ਰਾਜੀ ॥ ਸਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਸੈਨਾ ਲਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਲਾਜੀ ॥ चागड़दंग चिंतं पागड़दंग पढ़राजी ॥ सागड़दंग सैना लागड़दंग लाजी ॥ The army felt ashamed on remembering the defeat;

ਸਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਸ੝ਗ੝ਰੀਵ ਤੇ ਆਦਿ ਲੈਕੈ ॥ ਕਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਕੋਪੇ ਤਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਤੈਕੈ ॥੫੭੮॥ सागड़दंग सढ़गढ़रीव ते आदि लैकै ॥ कागड़दंग कोपे तागड़दंग तैकै ॥५७८॥ Sugriva and others got highly enraged.578.

ਹਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਹਨੂ ਕਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਕੋਪਾ ॥ ਬਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਬੀਰਾਨ ਮੋ ਪਾਵ ਰੋਪਾ ॥ हागड़दंग हनू कागड़दंग कोपा ॥ बागड़दंग बीरान मो पाव रोपा ॥ Hanuman was also greatly infuriated and he stood firmly in the battlefield;

ਸਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਸੂਰੰ ਹਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਹਾਰੇ ॥ ਤਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਤੈਕੈ ਹਨੂ ਤਉ ਪ੝ਕਾਰੇ ॥੫੭੯॥ सागड़दंग सूरं हागड़दंग हारे ॥ तागड़दंग तैकै हनू तउ पढ़कारे ॥५७९॥ All those who fought with him suffered defeat and for this reason Hanuman is called the "killer of all".579.

ਸਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਸ੝ਨਹੋ ਰਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਰਾਮੰ ॥ ਦਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਦੀਜੇ ਪਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਪਾਨੰ ॥ सागड़दंग सढ़नहो रागड़दंग रामं ॥ दागड़दंग दीजे पागड़दंग पानं ॥ Hanuman said to Ram, "Kindly stretch your hand towards me and bless me,

ਪਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਪੀਠੰ ਠਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਠੋਕੋ ॥ ਹਰੋ ਆਜ ਪਾਨੰ ਸ੝ਰੰ ਮੋਹ ਲੋਕੋ ॥੫੮੦॥ पागड़दंग पीठं ठागड़दंग ठोको ॥ हरो आज पानं सढ़रं मोह लोको ॥५८०॥ By patting me on my back and I shall conquer all the abodes of gods today."580.

ਆਗੜਦੰਗ ਝਸੇ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਅਉ ਉਡਾਨੋ ॥ ਗਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਗੈਨੰ ਮਿਲਿਯੋ ਮੱਧ ਮਾਨੋ ॥ आगड़दंग झसे कहियो अउ उडानो ॥ गागड़दंग गैनं मिलियो मढ़ध मानो ॥ Uttering these words Hanuman flew and it seemed that he had become one with the sky.

ਰਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਰਾਮੰ ਆਗੜਦੰਗ ਆਸੰ ॥ ਬਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਬੈਠੇ ਨਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਨਿਰਾਸੰ ॥੫੮੧॥ रागड़दंग रामं आगड़दंग आसं ॥ बागड़दंग बैठे नागड़दंग निरासं ॥५८१॥ Ram sat down disappointed, keeping the hope in his mind.581.

ਆਗੜਦੰਗ ਆਗੇ ਕਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਕੋਊ ॥ ਮਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਮਾਰੇ ਸਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਸੋਊ ॥ आगड़दंग आगे कागड़दंग कोऊ ॥ मागड़दंग मारे सागड़दंग सोऊ ॥ Whosoever came in front of Hanuman, he killed him,

ਨਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਨਾਕੀ ਤਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਤਾਲੰ ॥ ਮਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਮਾਰੇ ਬਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਬਿਸਾਲੰ ॥੫੮੨॥ नागड़दंग नाकी तागड़दंग तालं ॥ मागड़दंग मारे बागड़दंग बिसालं ॥५८२॥ And thus killing (the forces) he reached on the bank of a tank.582.

ਆਗੜਦੰਗ ਝਕੰ ਦਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਦਾਨੋ ॥ ਚਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਚੀਰਾ ਦਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਦ੝ਰਾਨੋ ॥ आगड़दंग झकं दागड़दंग दानो ॥ चागड़दंग चीरा दागड़दंग दढ़रानो ॥ There a terrible-looking demon was hiding;

ਦਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਦੋਖੀ ਬਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਬੂਟੀ ॥ ਆਗੜਦੰਗ ਹੈ ਝਕ ਤੇ ਝਕ ਜੂਟੀ ॥੫੮੩॥ दागड़दंग दोखी बागड़दंग बूटी ॥ आगड़दंग है झक ते झक जूटी ॥५८३॥ And at the same place Hanuman saw many herbs clustered with one another.583.

ਚਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਚਉਕਾ ਹਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਹਨਵੰਤਾ ॥ ਜਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਜੋਧਾ ਮਹਾਂ ਤੇਜ ਮੰਤਾ ॥ चागड़दंग चउका हागड़दंग हनवंता ॥ जागड़दंग जोधा महां तेज मंता ॥ The highly radiant Hanuman, seeing this, was perturbed and felt confused about the herb to be taken away;

ਆਗੜਦੰਗ ਉਖਾਰਾ ਪਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਪਹਾਰੰ ॥ ਆਗੜਦੰਗ ਲੈ ਅਉਖਧੀ ਕੋ ਸਿਧਾਰੰ ॥੫੮੪॥ आगड़दंग उखारा पागड़दंग पहारं ॥ आगड़दंग लै अउखधी को सिधारं ॥५८४॥ He uprooted the whole mountain and returned with the medicinal herbs.584.

ਆਗੜਦੰਗ ਆਝ ਜਹਾ ਰਾਮ ਖੇਤੰ ॥ ਬਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਬੀਰੰ ਜਹਾਂ ਤੇ ਅਚੇਤੰ ॥ आगड़दंग आझ जहा राम खेतं ॥ बागड़दंग बीरं जहां ते अचेतं ॥ He reached that battlefield with the mountain where Lakshman was lying unconscious;

ਬਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਬਿਸੱਲਯਾ ਮਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਮ੝ੱਖੰ ॥ ਡਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਡਾਰੀ ਸਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਸ੝ੱਖੰ ॥੫੮੫॥ बागड़दंग बिसढ़लया मागड़दंग मढ़ढ़खं ॥ डागड़दंग डारी सागड़दंग सढ़ढ़खं ॥५८५॥ The apothecary Sushan put the required herb in the month of Lakshman.585.

ਜਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਜਾਗੇ ਸਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਸੂਰੰ ॥ ਘਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਘ੝ੱਮੀ ਹਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਹੂਰੰ ॥ जागड़दंग जागे सागड़दंग सूरं ॥ घागड़दंग घढ़ढ़मी हागड़दंग हूरं ॥ The mighty warrior Lakshman regained his senses and the roaming heavenly damsels went back;

ਛਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਛੂਟੇ ਨਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਨਾਦੰ ॥ ਬਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਬਾਜੇ ਨਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਨਾਦੰ ॥੫੮੬॥ छागड़दंग छूटे नागड़दंग नादं ॥ बागड़दंग बाजे नागड़दंग नादं ॥५८६॥ The great trumpets resounded in the battlefield.586.

ਤਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਤੀਰੰ ਛਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਛੂਟੇ ॥ ਗਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਗਾਜੀ ਜਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਜੂਟੇ ॥ तागड़दंग तीरं छागड़दंग छूटे ॥ गागड़दंग गाजी जागड़दंग जूटे ॥ The arrows were discharged and the warriors began to fight again with one another.

ਖਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਖੇਤੰ ਸਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਸੋਝ ॥ ਪਾਗੜਦੰਗ ਤੇ ਪਾਕ ਸਾਹੀਦ ਹੋਝ ॥੫੮੭॥ खागड़दंग खेतं सागड़दंग सोझ ॥ पागड़दंग ते पाक साहीद होझ ॥५८७॥ The brave fighters dying in the battlefield became true martyrs.587.

ਝਮਝਮ ਲਸਤ ਕੋਟਿ ਕਰਵਾਰੰ ॥ ਝਲ ਹਲੰਤ ਉੱਜਲ ਅਸਿ ਧਾਰੰ ॥੫੮੮॥ झमझम लसत कोटि करवारं ॥ झल हलंत उजल असि धारं ॥५८८॥ The blows were struck with many hands creating knocking sounds and the white edges of the swords glittered.588.

ਤ੝ਰਿਭੰਗੀ ਛੰਦ ॥ तढ़रिभंगी छंद ॥ TRIBHANGI STANZA

ਉੱਜਲ ਅਸਿ ਧਾਰੰ ਲਸਤ ਅਪਾਰੰ ਕਰਣ ਲ੝ਝਾਰੰ ਛਬਿ ਧਾਰੰ ॥ ਸੋਭਿਤ ਜਿਮ੝ ਆਰੰ ਅਤਿ ਛਬਿ ਧਾਰੰ ਸ੝ ਬਿਧਿ ਸ੝ਧਾਰੰ ਅਰਿ ਗਾਰੰ ॥ उजल असि धारं लसत अपारं करण लढ़झारं छबि धारं ॥ सोभित जिमढ़ आरं अति छबि धारं सढ़ बिधि सढ़धारं अरि गारं ॥ The white edges of the swords, increasing splendour, looked impressive; these sword are the destroyers of the enemies and appear like saws;

ਜੈ ਪੱਤ੝ਰੰ ਦਾਤੀ ਮਦਿਣੰ ਮਾਤੀ ਸ੝ਰੋਣੰ ਰਾਤੀ ਜੈ ਕਰਣੰ ॥ ਦ੝ੱਜਨ ਦਲ ਹੰਤੀ ਅਛਲ ਜਯੰਤੀ ਕਿਲਵਿਖ ਹੰਤੀ ਭੈ ਹਰਣੰ ॥੫੮੯॥ जै पढ़तढ़रं दाती मदिणं माती सढ़रोणं राती जै करणं ॥ दढ़ढ़जन दल हंती अछल जयंती किलविख हंती भै हरणं ॥५८९॥ They frighten the enemy by granting victory, by bathing in the blood, by destroying the intoxicated tyrants and by perishing all the vices.589.

ਕਲਸ ॥ कलस ॥ KALAS

ਭਰਹਰੰਤ ਭੱਜਤ ਰਣਿ ਸੂਰੰ ॥ ਥਰਹਰ ਕਰਤ ਲੋਹੇ ਤਨ ਪੂਰੰ ॥ भरहरंत भढ़जत रणि सूरं ॥ थरहर करत लोहे तन पूरं ॥ There was consternation, the warriors ran and their bodies wearing armour trembled;

ਤੜਭੜ ਬਜੈਂ ਤਬਲ ਅਰ੝ ਤੂਰੰ ॥ ਘ੝ੱਮੀ ਪੇਖਿ ਸ੝ਭਟ ਰਣਿ ਹੂਰੰ ॥੫੯੦॥ तड़भड़ बजैं तबल अरढ़ तूरं ॥ घढ़ढ़मी पेखि सढ़भट रणि हूरं ॥५९०॥ The trumpets resounded violently in the war and seeing the mighty warriors the heavenly damsels advanced towards them again.590.

ਤ੝ਰਿਭੰਗੀ ਛੰਦ ॥ तढ़रिभंगी छंद ॥ TRIBHANGI STANZA

ਘ੝ੰਮੀ ਰਣ ਹੂਰੰ ਨਭ ਝੜ ਪੂਰੰ ਲਖਿ ਲਖਿ ਸੂਰੰ ਮਨ ਮੋਹੀ ॥ ਆਰ੝ਣ ਤਨ ਬਾਣੰ ਛਬਿ ਅਪ੝ਰਮਾਣੰ ਅਣਦ੝ਤਿ ਖਾਣੰ ਤਨ ਸੋਹੀ ॥ घढ़मी रण हूरं नभ झड़ पूरं लखि लखि सूरं मन मोही ॥ आरढ़ण तन बाणं छबि अपढ़रमाणं अणदढ़ति खाणं तन सोही ॥ Returning from heaven the damsels moved towards the warriors and enchanted their mind; their bodies were red like the arrows saturated with blood and their beauty was unparalleled;

ਕਾਛਨੀ ਸ੝ਰੰਗੰ ਛਬਿ ਅੰਗ ਅੰਗੰ ਲਜਤ ਅਨੰਗੰ ਲਖਿ ਰੂਪੰ ॥ ਸਾਇਕ ਦ੝ਰਿਗ ਹਰਣੀ ਕ੝ਮਤਿ ਪ੝ਰਜਰਣੀ ਬਰਬਰ ਬਰਣੀ ਬ੝ਧਿ ਕੂਪੰ ॥੫੯੧॥ काछनी सढ़रंगं छबि अंग अंगं लजत अनंगं लखि रूपं ॥ साइक दढ़रिग हरणी कढ़मति पढ़रजरणी बरबर बरणी बढ़धि कूपं ॥५९१॥ Seeing the beauty of these heavenly damsels, who were wearing elegantly coloured raiments, the cupid was felling shy and these were the intellingent heavenly damsels, doe-eyed, destroyers of bad intellect and wedders of mighty warriors.591.

ਕਮਲ ਬਦਨ ਸਾਇਕ ਮ੝ਰਿਗ ਨੈਣੀ ॥ ਰੂਪ ਰਾਸਿ ਸ੝ੰਦਰ ਪਿਕ ਬੈਣੀ ॥ कमल बदन साइक मढ़रिग नैणी ॥ रूप रासि सढ़ंदर पिक बैणी ॥ Their faces were like lotus, eyes like deer and utterance like nightingale, these heavenly damsels were stores of elegance;

ਮ੝ਰਿਗਪਤਿ ਕਟਿ ਛਾਜਤ ਗਜ ਗੈਣੀ ॥ ਨੈਨ ਕਟਾਛਿ ਮਨਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਲੈਣੀ ॥੫੯੨॥ मढ़रिगपति कटि छाजत गज गैणी ॥ नैन कटाछि मनहि हरि लैणी ॥५९२॥ With gait of elephants, with slim waists of lion and were captivators of mind with the side glances of their eyes.592.

ਸ੝ੰਦਰ ਮ੝ਰਿਗਨੈਣੀ ਸ੝ਰ ਪਿਕ ਬੈਣੀ ਚਿਤ ਹਰਿ ਲੈਣੀ ਗਜ ਗੈਣੰ ॥ ਮਾਧ੝ਰ ਬਿਧ੝ ਬਦਨੀ ਸ੝ਬ੝ਧਿਨ ਸਦਨੀ ਕ੝ਮਤਿਨ ਕਦਨੀ ਛਬਿ ਮੈਣੰ ॥ सढ़ंदर मढ़रिगनैणी सढ़र पिक बैणी चित हरि लैणी गज गैणं ॥ माधढ़र बिधढ़ बदनी सढ़बढ़धिन सदनी कढ़मतिन कदनी छबि मैणं ॥ They have splendid eyes, their utterance is sweet like nightingale and they captivate the mind like the gait of the elephant; they are all-pervading, have charming faces, with elegance of the god of love, they are the store-house of good intellect, the destroyer of evil intellect,

ਅੰਗਿਕਾ ਸ੝ਰੰਗੀ ਨਟਵਰ ਰੰਗੀ ਝਾਂਝ ਉਤੰਗੀ ਪਗਿ ਧਾਰੰ ॥ ਬੇਸਰ ਗਜਰਾਰੰ ਪਹ੝ੰਚ ਅਪਾਰੰ ਕਚਿ ਘ੝ੰਘਰਾਰੰ ਆਹਾਰੰ ॥੫੯੩॥ अंगिका सढ़रंगी नटवर रंगी झांझ उतंगी पगि धारं ॥ बेसर गजरारं पहढ़ंच अपारं कचि घढ़ंघरारं आहारं ॥५९३॥ Have godly limbs; they stand slantingly on one side, wear anklets in their feet, ivory-ornament in their nose and have black curly hair.593.

ਚਿਬਕ ਚਾਰ ਸ੝ੰਦਰ ਛਬਿ ਧਾਰੰ ॥ ਠਉਰ ਠਉਰ ਮ੝ਕਤਨ ਕੇ ਹਾਰੰ ॥ चिबक चार सढ़ंदर छबि धारं ॥ ठउर ठउर मढ़कतन के हारं ॥ These heavenly damsels of elegant cheeks and unique beauty, have wreaths of gems on various parts of their bodies;

ਕਰਿ ਕੰਗਨ ਪਹ੝ੰਚੀ ਉਜਿਆਰੰ ॥ ਨਿਰਖਿ ਮਦਨ ਦ੝ਤਿ ਹੋਤ ਸ੝ਮਾਰੰ ॥੫੯੪॥ करि कंगन पहढ़ंची उजिआरं ॥ निरखि मदन दढ़ति होत सढ़मारं ॥५९४॥ The bracelets of their hands are spreading brightness and seeing such elegance the beauty of the god of love is getting dim.594.

ਤ੝ਰਿਭੰਗੀ ਛੰਦ ॥ तढ़रिभंगी छंद ॥ TRIBHANGI STANZA

ਸੋਭਿਤ ਛਬਿ ਧਾਰੰ ਕਚ ਘ੝ੰਘਰਾਰੰ ਰਸਨ ਰਸਾਰੰ ਉਜਿਆਰੰ ॥ ਪਹ੝ੰਚੀ ਗਜਰਾਰੰ ਸ੝ਬਿਧਿ ਸ੝ਧਾਰੰ ਮ੝ਕਤਨਿ ਹਾਰੰ ਉਰਿ ਧਾਰੰ ॥ सोभित छबि धारं कच घढ़ंघरारं रसन रसारं उजिआरं ॥ पहढ़ंची गजरारं सढ़बिधि सढ़धारं मढ़कतनि हारं उरि धारं ॥ With black hair sweet speech they appear very impressive and moving freely, they are roaming within the jostling of the elephants.

ਸੋਹਤ ਚਖ੝ ਚਾਰੰ ਰੰਗ ਰੰਗਾਰੰ ਬਿਬਿਧ ਪ੝ਰਕਾਰੰ ਅਤਿ ਆਂਜੇ ॥ ਬਿਖ ਧਰ ਮ੝ਰਿਗ ਜੈਸੇ ਜਲ ਜਨ ਵੈਸੇ ਸਸੀਅਰ ਜੈਸੇ ਸਰ ਮਾਂਜੇ ॥੫੯੫॥ सोहत चखढ़ चारं रंग रंगारं बिबिध पढ़रकारं अति आंजे ॥ बिख धर मढ़रिग जैसे जल जन वैसे ससीअर जैसे सर मांजे ॥५९५॥ With antimony in their eyes and dyed in various coulurs they look splendid with their beautiful eyes. In this way, their eyes, assaulting like poisonous serpents, but innocent like deer, they are winsome like lotus and moon.595.

ਭਯੋ ਮੂੜ ਰਾਵਣ ਰਣਿ ਕ੝ਰ੝ੱਧੰ ॥ ਮੱਚਿਓ ਆਨਿ ਤ੝ਮਲ ਜਬ ਜ੝ੱਧੰ ॥ ਜੂਝੇ ਸਕਲ ਸੂਰਮਾਂ ਸ੝ੱਧੰ ॥ ਅਰਿ ਦਲ ਮਧਿ ਸਬਦ ਕਰਿ ਉੱਧੰ ॥੫੯੬॥ भयो मूड़ रावण रणि कढ़रढ़ढ़धं ॥ मढ़चिओ आनि तढ़मल जब जढ़ढ़धं ॥ जूझे सकल सूरमां सढ़ढ़धं ॥ अरि दल मधि सबद करि उधं ॥५९६॥ The foolish Ravana was highly infuriated in the war; when the terrible war began amidst violent resonance, all the warriors began to fight and roam shouting violently among the enemy forces.596.

ਤ੝ਰਿਭੰਗੀ ਛੰਦ ॥ तढ़रिभंगी छंद ॥ TRIBHANGI STANZA

ਧਾਯੋ ਕਰ ਕ੝ਰ੝ੱਧੰ ਸ੝ਭਟ ਬਿਰ੝ੱਧੰ ਗਲਿਤ ਸ੝ਬ੝ੱਧੰ ਗਹਿ ਬਾਣੰ ॥ ਕੀਨੋ ਰਣ ਸ੝ੱਧੰ ਨਚਤ ਕਬਧੰ ਅਤਿ ਧ੝ਨਿ ਉੱਧੰ ਧਨ੝ ਤਾਣੰ ॥ धायो कर कढ़रढ़ढ़धं सढ़भट बिरढ़ढ़धं गलित सढ़बढ़ढ़धं गहि बाणं ॥ कीनो रण सढ़ढ़धं नचत कबधं अति धढ़नि उधं धनढ़ ताणं ॥ That demon of vicious intellect, holding arrows in his hand and highly enraged marched forward to wage a war. He fought a terrible war and amidst the pulled up bows in the battlefield, the headless trunks began to dance.

ਧਾਝ ਰਜਵਾਰੇ ਦ੝ ਧਿਰ ਹਕਾਰੇ ਸ੝ ਬ੝ਰਣ ਪ੝ਰਹਾਰੇ ਕਰਿ ਕੋਪੰ ॥ ਘਾਇਨ ਤਨ ਰੱਜੇ ਦ੝ ਪਗ ਨ ਭੱਜੇ ਜਨ੝ ਹਰਿ ਗੱਜੇ ਪਗ ਰੋਪੰ ॥੫੯੭॥ धाझ रजवारे दढ़ धिर हकारे सढ़ बढ़रण पढ़रहारे करि कोपं ॥ घाइन तन ढ़रजे दढ़ पग न भढ़जे जनढ़ हरि गढ़जे पग रोपं ॥५९७॥ The king moved forward while challenging and inflicting wounds on the warriors, they were in great ire; the wounds were inflicted on the bodies of the fighters, but still they are not fleeing and thundering like clouds, they are firmly standing and fighting in the battlefield.597.

ਅਧਿਕ ਰੋਸਿ ਸਾਵੰਤ ਰਨਿ ਜੂਟੇ ॥ ਬਖਤਰ ਟੋਪ ਜਿਰੈ ਸਭ ਫੂਟੇ ॥ ਨਿਸਰ ਚਲੇ ਸਾਇਕ ਜਨ੝ ਛੂਟੇ ॥ ਜਨ੝ਕ ਸਿਰਾਨ ਮਾਸ ਲਖਿ ਟੂਟੇ ॥੪੯੮ अधिक रोसि सावंत रनि जूटे ॥ बखतर टोप जिरै सभ फूटे ॥ निसर चले साइक जनढ़ छूटे ॥ जनढ़क सिरान मास लखि टूटे ॥४९८ With the increase of indignation the warriors attacked each other and the armours and helmets were shattered, the arrows were discharged from bows and the bits of flesh fell on being chopped form the bodies of the enemies.598.

ਤ੝ਰਿਭੰਗੀ ਛੰਦ ॥ तढ़रिभंगी छंद ॥ TRIBHANGI STANZA

ਸਾਇਕ ਜਣ੝ ਛੂਟੇ ਤਿਮ ਅਰਿ ਜੂਟੇ ਬਖਤਰ ਫੂਟੇ ਜੇਬ ਜਿਰੇ ॥ ਮਸਹਰ ਭ੝ਖਿਆਝ ਤਿਮ੝ ਅਰਿ ਧਾਝ ਸਸਤ੝ਰ ਨਚਾਇਨ ਫੇਰਿ ਫਿਰੇ ॥ साइक जणढ़ छूटे तिम अरि जूटे बखतर फूटे जेब जिरे ॥ मसहर भढ़खिआझ तिमढ़ अरि धाझ ससतढ़र नचाइन फेरि फिरे ॥ As soon as the arrows are discharged, the enemies in still greather numbers gather and prepare to fight even with the shattered armour; they move forward and run like a hungry person here and there; they are roaming hither and thither, striking their weapons.

ਸਨਮ੝ਖਿ ਰਣਿ ਗਾਜੈ ਕਿਨਹੂੰ ਨ ਭਾਜੈ ਲਖਿ ਸ੝ਰ ਲਾਜੈ ਰਣ ਰੰਗੰ ॥ ਜੈਜੈ ਧ੝ਨਿ ਕਰਹੀ ਪ੝ਹਪਨ ਡਰਹੀ ਸ੝ ਬਿਧਿ ਉਚਰਹੀ ਜੈ ਜੰਗੰ ॥੫੯੯॥ सनमढ़खि रणि गाजै किनहूं न भाजै लखि सढ़र लाजै रण रंगं ॥ जैजै धढ़नि करही पढ़हपन डरही सढ़ बिधि उचरही जै जंगं ॥५९९॥ They fight face to face and don not run away; seeing them waging war even the gods feel shy. The gods seeing the terrible war shower flowers with the sound of `hail, hail; they also hail the fight in the war arena.599.

ਮ੝ਖ ਤੰਬੋਰ ਅਰ੝ ਰੰਗ ਸ੝ਰੰਗੰ ॥ ਨਿਡਰ ਭ੝ਰਮਤ ਭੂੰਮਿ ਉਹ ਜੰਗੰ ॥ मढ़ख तढ़मबोर अरढ़ रंग सढ़रंगं ॥ निडर भढ़रमत भूमि उह जंगं ॥ There is betel in the mouth of Ravana an the colour of his body is red, he is moving fearlessly in the battlefield;

ਲਿਪਤ ਮਲੈ ਘਨਸਾਰ ਸ੝ਰੰਗੰ ॥ ਰੂਪ ਭਾਨ੝ ਗਤਿਵਾਨ ਉਤੰਗੰ ॥੬੦੦॥ लिपत मलै घनसार सढ़रंगं ॥ रूप भानढ़ गतिवान उतंगं ॥६००॥ He has plastered his body with sandalwood; he is bright like the sun and is moving with a superior gait.600.

ਤ੝ਰਿਭੰਗੀ ਛੰਦ ॥ तढ़रिभंगी छंद ॥ TRIBHANGI STANZA

ਤਨ ਸ੝ਭਤ ਸ੝ਰੰਗੰ ਛਬਿ ਅੰਗ ਅੰਗੰ ਲਜਤ ਅਨੰਗੰ ਲਖਿ ਨੈਣੰ ॥ ਸੋਭਿਤ ਕਚਕਾਰੇ ਅਤਿ ਘ੝ੰਘਰਾਰੇ ਰਸਨ ਰਸਾਰੇ ਮ੝ਰਿਦ ਬੈਣੰ ॥ तन सढ़भत सढ़रंगं छबि अंग अंगं लजत अनंगं लखि नैणं ॥ सोभित कचकारे अति घढ़ंघरारे रसन रसारे मढ़रिद बैणं ॥ Seeing his winsome body and elegant limbs, the god of love is feeling shy, he has back curly hair and sweet speech;

ਮ੝ਖਿ ਛਕਤ ਸ੝ਬਾਸੰ ਦਿਨਿਸ ਪ੝ਰਕਾਸੰ ਜਨ੝ ਸਸਿ ਭਾਸੰ ਤਸ ਸੋਭੰ ॥ ਰੀਝਤ ਚਖ ਚਾਰੰ ਸ੝ਰਪ੝ਰਿ ਪਿਯਾਰੰ ਦੇਵ ਦਿਵਾਰੰ ਲਖਿ ਲੋਭੰ ॥੬੦੧॥ मढ़खि छकत सढ़बासं दिनिस पढ़रकासं जनढ़ ससि भासं तस सोभं ॥ रीझत चख चारं सढ़रपढ़रि पियारं देव दिवारं लखि लोभं ॥६०१॥ His face is fragranted and appears shining like sun and glorifying like moon. On seeing him all feel delighted and the people of the abode of gods also do not hesitate to see him.601.

ਕਲਸਿ ॥ कलसि ॥ KALAS

ਚੰਦ੝ਰਹਾਸ ਝਕੰ ਕਰ ਧਾਰੀ ॥ ਦ੝ਤੀਆ ਧੋਪ੝ ਗਹਿ ਤ੝ਰਿਤੀ ਕਟਾਰੀ ॥ चंदढ़रहास झकं कर धारी ॥ दढ़तीआ धोपढ़ गहि तढ़रिती कटारी ॥ In one of his hands there was the sword named Chandrahaas, in the second hand was another arm named Dhop and in the third hand there was spear;

ਚਤ੝ਰਥ ਹਾਥਿ ਸੈਹਥੀ ਉਜਿਆਰੀ ॥ ਗੋਫਨ ਗ੝ਰਜ ਕਰਤ ਚਮਕਾਰੀ ॥੬੦੨॥ चतढ़रथ हाथि सैहथी उजिआरी ॥ गोफन गढ़रज करत चमकारी ॥६०२॥ In his fourth hand there was a weapons named Saihathi having sharp glimmer, in his fifth hand and sixth hand there was a glittering mace and a weapon named Gophan.602.

ਤ੝ਰਿਭੰਗੀ ਛੰਦ ॥ तढ़रिभंगी छंद ॥ TRIBHANGI STANZA

ਸਤਝ ਅਸ ਭਾਰੀ ਗਦਹਿ ਉਭਾਰੀ ਤ੝ਰਿਸੂਲ ਸ੝ਧਾਰੀ ਛ੝ਰਕਾਰੀ ॥ ਜੰਬੂਵਾ ਅਰ ਬਾਨੰ ਸ੝ ਕਸਿ ਕਮਾਨੰ ਚਰਮ ਅਪ੝ਰਮਾਨੰ ਧਰਿ ਭਾਰੀ ॥ सतझ अस भारी गदहि उभारी तढ़रिसूल सढ़धारी छढ़रकारी ॥ जढ़मबूवा अर बानं सढ़ कसि कमानं चरम अपढ़रमानं धरि भारी ॥ In his seventh hand there was another heavy and swollen mace and in other hands there were trident, pincers, arrows, bow etc. as weapons and arms.

ਪੰਦ੝ਰਝ ਗਲੋਲੰ ਪਾਸਿ ਅਮੋਲੰ ਪਰਸ੝ ਅਡੋਲੰ ਹਥਿ ਨਾਲੰ ॥ ਬਿਛੂਆ ਪਹਰਾਯੰ ਪਟਾ ਭ੝ਰਮਾਯੰ ਜਿਮ ਜਮ ਧਾਯੰ ਬਿਕਰਾਲੰ ॥੬੦੩॥ पंदढ़रझ गलोलं पासि अमोलं परसढ़ अडोलं हथि नालं ॥ बिछूआ पहरायं पटा भढ़रमायं जिम जम धायं बिकरालं ॥६०३॥ In his fifteenth hand there were an arm-like pellet bow and weapons named Pharsa. He had worn in his hands steel-hooked weapons shaped like tiger`s claws and he was roaming like dreadful Yama.603.

ਕਲਸ ॥ कलस ॥ KALAS

ਸਿਵ ਸਿਵ ਸਿਵ ਮ੝ਖ ਝਕ ਉਚਾਰੰ ॥ ਦ੝ਤੀਅ ਪ੝ਰਭਾ ਜਾਨਕੀ ਨਿਹਾਰੰ ॥ सिव सिव सिव मढ़ख झक उचारं ॥ दढ़तीअ पढ़रभा जानकी निहारं ॥ He was repeating the name of Shiva from one face, from the second he was looking at the beauty of Sita;

ਤ੝ਰਿਤੀਅ ਝ੝ੰਡ ਸਭ ਸ੝ਭਟ ਪਚਾਰੰ ॥ ਚਤ੝ਰਥ ਕਰਤ ਮਾਰ ਹੀ ਮਾਰੰ ॥੬੦੪॥ तढ़रितीअ झढ़ंड सभ सढ़भट पचारं ॥ चतढ़रथ करत मार ही मारं ॥६०४॥ From the third he was seeing his own warriors and from the fourth he was shouting "Kill, Kill".604.

ਪਚਝ ਹਨਵੰਤੰ ਲਖਿ ਦ੝ਤ ਮੰਤੰ ਸ੝ ਬਲ ਦ੝ਰੰਤੰ ਤਜਿ ਕਲਿਣੰ ॥ ਛਠਝ ਲਖਿ ਭ੝ਰਾਤੰ ਤਕਤ ਪਪਾਤੰ ਲਗਤ ਨ ਘਾਤੰ ਜੀਅ ਜਲਿਣੰ ॥ पचझ हनवंतं लखि दढ़त मंतं सढ़ बल दढ़रंतं तजि कलिणं ॥ छठझ लखि भढ़रातं तकत पपातं लगत न घातं जीअ जलिणं ॥ From his fifth face he was looking at Hanuman and repeating the mantra at great speed and was trying to pull his strength. From his sixth head he was seeing his fallen brother Kumbhkarn and his heart was burning.

ਸਤਝ ਲਖਿ ਰਘ੝ਪਤਿ ਕਪਿ ਦਲ ਅਧਿਪਤਿ ਸ੝ਭਟ ਬਿਕਟ ਮਤ ਜ੝ਤ ਭ੝ਰਾਤੰ ॥ ਅਠਿਓ ਸਿਰਿ ਢੋਰੈਂ ਨਵਮਿ ਨਿਹੋਰੈਂ ਦਸਯਨ ਬੋਰੈਂ ਰਿਸ ਰਾਤੰ ॥੬੦੫॥ सतझ लखि रघढ़पति कपि दल अधिपति सढ़भट बिकट मत जढ़त भढ़रातं ॥ अठिओ सिरि ढोरैं नवमि निहोरैं दसयन बोरैं रिस रातं ॥६०५॥ From his seventh head he was seeing Ram and the army of monkeys and other mighty warriors. He was shaking his eight head and surveying everything from his ninth head and he was getting highly infuriated with rage.605.

ਚਬੋਲਾ ਛੰਦ ॥ चबोला छंद ॥ CHABOLA STANZA

ਧਾਝ ਮਹਾਂ ਬੀਰ ਸਾਧੇ ਸਿਤੰ ਤੀਰ ਕਾਛੇ ਰਣੰ ਚੀਰ ਬਾਨਾ ਸ੝ਹਾਝ ॥ ਰਵਾਂ ਕਰਦ ਮਰਕਬ ਯਲੋ ਤੇਜ ਇਮ ਸਭ ਚੂੰ ਤ੝ੰਦ ਅਜਦਹੋ ਓ ਮਿਆ ਜੰਗਾਹੇ ॥ धाझ महां बीर साधे सितं तीर काछे रणं चीर बाना सढ़हाझ ॥ रवां करद मरकब यलो तेज इम सभ चूं तढ़ंद अजदहो ओ मिआ जंगाहे ॥ Settling their whit arrows the mighty warriors moved with beautiful dress on their bodies; their were very swift-moving and were exhibiting complete quickness in the battlefield;

ਭਿੜੇ ਆਇ ਈਹਾ ਬ੝ਲੋ ਬੈਣ ਕੀਹਾਂ ਕਰੇਂ ਘਾਇ ਜੀਹਾਂ ਭਿੜੇ ਭੇੜ ਭੱਜੇ ॥ਪੀਯੋ ਪੋਸਤਾਨੇ ਭਛੋ ਰਾਬੜੀਨੇ ਕਹਾਂ ਛੈਅਣੀ ਰੋਧਣੀਨੇ ਨਿਹਾਰੈਂ ॥੬੦੬॥ भिड़े आइ ईहा बढ़लो बैण कीहां करें घाइ जीहां भिड़े भेड़ भढ़जे ॥पीयो पोसताने भछो राबड़ीने कहां छैअणी रोधणीने निहारैं ॥६०६॥ Sometimes they fight on this side and challenging on the other and whenever they strike the blows, the enemies flee; they appear like one intoxicated on eating hemp and roaming hither and thither.606.

ਗਾਜੇ ਮਹਾ ਸੂਰ ਘ੝ਮੀ ਰਣੰ ਹੂਰ ਭਰਮੀ ਨਭੰ ਪੂਰ ਬੇਖੰ ਅਨੂਪੰ ॥ ਵਲੇ ਵੱਲ ਸਾਈ ਜੀਵੀ ਜ੝ਗਾਂ ਤਾਈ ਤੈਂਡੇ ਘੋਲੀ ਜਾਈ ਅਲਾਵੀਤ ਝਸੇ ॥ गाजे महा सूर घढ़मी रणं हूर भरमी नभं पूर बेखं अनूपं ॥ वले वढ़ल साई जीवी जढ़गां ताई तैंडे घोली जाई अलावीत झसे ॥ The warriors roared and the heavenly damsels roamed in the sky in order to see the unique war. They prayed that this warrior waging the dreadful war should live for ages;

ਲਗੋ ਲਾਰ ਥਾਨੇ ਬਰੋ ਰਾਜ ਮਾਨੇ ਕਹੋ ਅਉਰ ਕਾਨੇ ਹਠੀ ਛਾਡਿ ਥੇਸੋ ॥ ਬਰੋ ਆਨਿ ਮੋਕੋ ਭਜੋ ਆਨ ਤੋਕੋ ਚਲੋ ਦੇਵ ਲੋਕੋ ਤਜੋ ਬੇਗ ਲੰਕਾ ॥੬੦੭॥ लगो लार थाने बरो राज माने कहो अउर काने हठी छाडि थेसो ॥ बरो आनि मोको भजो आन तोको चलो देव लोको तजो बेग लंका ॥६०७॥ And should firmly enjoy his rule. O warriors ! forsake this Lanka and come to wed us and depart for heaven.607.

ਸ੝ਵੈਯਾ ॥ ਅਨੰਤਤ੝ਕਾ ॥ सढ़वैया ॥ अनंततढ़का ॥ SWAYYA (OF INNUMERABLE VERSES)

ਰੋਸ ਭਰਿਯੋ ਤਜਿ ਹੋਸ ਨਿਸਾਚਰ ਸ੝ਰੀ ਰਘ੝ਰਾਜ ਕੋ ਘਾਇ ਪ੝ਰਹਾਰੇ ॥ ਜੋਸ ਬਡੋ ਕਰਿ ਕਉਸਲਿਹੰ ਅਧ ਬੀਚ ਹੀ ਤੇ ਸਰ ਕਾਟਿ ਉਤਾਰੇ ॥ रोस भरियो तजि होस निसाचर सढ़री रघढ़राज को घाइ पढ़रहारे ॥ जोस बडो करि कउसलिहं अध बीच ही ते सर काटि उतारे ॥ Ravana, abandoning his senses, became very furious and attacked Ramchander, the king of Raghu clan; on this side Ram intercepted midway his arrows;

ਫੇਰਿ ਬਡੋ ਕਰਿ ਰੋਸ ਦਿਵਾਰਦਨ ਧਾਇ ਪਰੈ ਕਪਿ ਪ੝ੰਜ ਸੰਘਾਰੈ ॥ ਪਟਿਸ ਲੋਹ ਹਥੀ ਪਰਸੰ ਗੜੀਝ ਜੰਬ੝ਝ ਜਮਦਾੜ ਚਲਾਵੈ ॥੬੦੮॥ फेरि बडो करि रोस दिवारदन धाइ परै कपि पढ़ंज संघारै ॥ पटिस लोह हथी परसं गड़ीझ जढ़मबढ़झ जमदाड़ चलावै ॥६०८॥ Then he began to destroy collectively the army of monkeys and struck various types of terrible arms.608.

ਚੌਬੋਲਾ ਸ੝ਵੈਯਾ ॥ चौबोला सढ़वैया ॥ CHABOLA SWAYYA

ਸ੝ਰੀ ਰਘ੝ਰਾਜ ਸਰਾਸਨ ਲੈ ਰਿਸ ਠਾਨਿ ਘਨੀ ਰਨਿ ਬਾਨ ਪ੝ਰਹਾਰੇ ॥ ਬੀਰਨ ਮਾਰਿ ਦ੝ਸਾਰ ਗਝ ਸਰ ਅੰਬਰ ਤੇ ਬਰਸੇ ਜਨ੝ ਓਰੇ ॥ सढ़री रघढ़राज सरासन लै रिस ठानि घनी रनि बान पढ़रहारे ॥ बीरन मारि दढ़सार गझ सर अमबर ते बरसे जनढ़ ओरे ॥ Ram took his bow in his hand and in great ire, discharged many arrows which killed the warriors and penetrating on the other side, came in shower again from the sky.

ਬਾਜ ਗਜੀ ਰਥ ਸਾਜ ਗਿਰੇ ਧਰਿ ਪਤ੝ਰ ਅਨੇਕ ਸ੝ ਕਉਨ ਗਨਾਵੈ ॥ ਫਾਗਨ ਪਉਨ ਪ੝ਰਚੰਡ ਬਹੇ ਬਨ ਪੱਤ੝ਰਨ ਤੇ ਜਨ ਪੱਤ੝ਰ ਉਡਾਨੇ ॥੬੦੯॥ बाज गजी रथ साज गिरे धरि पतढ़र अनेक सढ़ कउन गनावै ॥ फागन पउन पढ़रचंड बहे बन पढ़तढ़रन ते जन पढ़तढ़र उडाने ॥६०९॥ Innumerable elephants, horses and chariots fell in the battlefield and it appeared that with the flow of the violent wind the leaves are seen flying.609.

ਸ੝ਵੈਯਾ ਛੰਦ ॥ सढ़वैया छंद ॥ SWAYYA STANZA

ਰੋਸ ਭਰਿਯੋ ਰਨ ਮੌ ਰਘ੝ਨਾਥ ਸ੝ ਰਾਵਨ ਕੋ ਬਹ੝ ਬਾਨ ਪ੝ਰਹਾਰੇ ॥ ਸ੝ਰੋਣਨ ਨੈਕ ਲਗਿਯੋ ਤਿਨ ਕੇ ਤਨਿ ਫੋਰਿ ਜਿਰੈ ਤਨ ਪਾਰ ਪਧਾਰੇ ॥ रोस भरियो रन मौ रघढ़नाथ सढ़ रावन को बहढ़ बान पढ़रहारे ॥ सढ़रोणन नैक लगियो तिन के तनि फोरि जिरै तन पार पधारे ॥ On being enraged, Ram discharged many arrows on Ravana and those arrows saturated slightly with blood, penetrated through the body to the other side;

ਬਾਜ ਗਜੀ ਰਥ ਰਾਜ ਰਥੀ ਰਣਭੂਮਿ ਗਿਰੇ ਇਹ ਭਾਂਤਿ ਸੰਘਾਰੇ ॥ ਜਾਨੋ ਬਸੰਤ ਕੇ ਅੰਤ ਸਮੈ ਕਦਲੀ ਦਲ ਪਉਨ ਪ੝ਰਚੰਡ ਉਖਾਰੇ ॥੬੧੦॥ बाज गजी रथ राज रथी रणभूमि गिरे इह भांति संघारे ॥ जानो बसंत के अंत समै कदली दल पउन पढ़रचंड उखारे ॥६१०॥ The elephants, horses, chariots and charioteers fell down in the battlefield after having been chopped like the trees of banana uprooted and thrown around by the violent wind at the end of spring.610.

ਧਾਇ ਪਰੇ ਕਰਿ ਕੋਪ ਬਨੇਚਰ ਹੈ ਤਿਨ ਕੇ ਜੀਅ ਰੋਸ ਜਗਯੋ ॥ ਕਿਲਕਾਰ ਪ੝ਕਾਰ ਪਰੇ ਚਹੂੰ ਘਾ ਰਣ ਛਾਡਿ ਹਠੀ ਨਹਿ ਝਕ ਭਗਯੋ ॥ धाइ परे करि कोप बनेचर है तिन के जीअ रोस जगयो ॥ किलकार पढ़कार परे चहूं घा रण छाडि हठी नहि झक भगयो ॥ The forces of monkeys also fell on the enemy, having been greatly enraged in the heart and gushed forward from all the four sides, shouting violently without retreating form its position.

ਗਹਿ ਬਾਨ ਕਮਾਨ ਗਦਾ ਬਰਛੀ ਉਤ ਤੇ ਦਲ ਰਾਵਨ ਕੋ ਉਮਗਯੋ ॥ ਭਟ ਜੂਝਿ ਅਰੂਝਿ ਗਿਰੇ ਧਰਣੀ ਦਿਜਰਾਜ ਭ੝ਰਮਿਯੋ ਸਿਵ ਧਯਾਨ ਡਿਗਯੋ ॥੬੧੧॥ गहि बान कमान गदा बरछी उत ते दल रावन को उमगयो ॥ भट जूझि अरूझि गिरे धरणी दिजराज भढ़रमियो सिव धयान डिगयो ॥६११॥ From the other side, the army of Ravana rushed forward taking its weapons and arms like arrows, bows, maces, fell in such a way that the moon taking its course got illusioned and the contemplation of Shiva was obstructed.611.

ਜੂਝਿ ਅਰੂਝਿ ਗਿਰੇ ਭਟਵਾ ਤਨ ਘਾਇਨ ਘਾਇ ਘਨੇ ਭਿਭਰਾਨੇ ॥ ਜੰਬ੝ਕ ਗਿੱਧ ਪਿਸਾਚ ਨਿਸਾਚਰ ਫੂਲਿ ਫਿਰੇ ਰਨ ਮੌ ਰਹਸਾਨੇ ॥ जूझि अरूझि गिरे भटवा तन घाइन घाइ घने भिभराने ॥ जढ़मबढ़क गिढ़ध पिसाच निसाचर फूलि फिरे रन मौ रहसाने ॥ After receiving wounds on the body, the warriors swung and began to fall and the jackals, vultures, ghosts and fiends were delighted in mind.

ਕਾਂਪ ਉਠੀ ਸ੝ ਦਿਸਾ ਬਿਦਿਸਾ ਦਿਗਪਾਲਨ ਫੇਰ ਪ੝ਰਲੈ ਅਨ੝ਮਾਨੇ ॥ ਭੂਮਿ ਅਕਾਸ ਉਦਾਸ ਭਝ ਗਨ ਦੇਵ ਅਦੇਵ ਭ੝ਰਮੇ ਭਹਰਾਨੇ ॥੬੧੨॥ कांप उठी सढ़ दिसा बिदिसा दिगपालन फेर पढ़रलै अनढ़माने ॥ भूमि अकास उदास भझ गन देव अदेव भढ़रमे भहराने ॥६१२॥ All the directions trembled on seeing the terrible war and the digpals (supervisors and directors) guessed the arrival of doomsday; the earth and sky became anxious and seeing the dreadfulness of the war the gods and demons were both bewildered.612.

ਰਾਵਨ ਰੋਸ ਭਰਿਯੋ ਰਨ ਮੋ ਰਿਸ ਸੌ ਸਰ ਓਘ ਪ੝ਰਓਘ ਪ੝ਰਹਾਰੇ ॥ ਭੂਮਿ ਅਕਾਸ ਦਿਸਾ ਬਿਦਿਸਾ ਸਭ ਓਰ ਰ੝ਕੇ ਨਹਿ ਜਾਤ ਨਿਹਾਰੇ ॥ रावन रोस भरियो रन मो रिस सौ सर ओघ पढ़रओघ पढ़रहारे ॥ भूमि अकास दिसा बिदिसा सभ ओर रढ़के नहि जात निहारे ॥ Being highly infuriated in mind Ravana began to discharge arrows collectively and with his arrows the earth, sky and all directions were torn asunder;

ਸ੝ਰੀ ਰਘ੝ਰਾਜ ਸਰਾਸਨ ਲੈ ਛਿਨ ਮੌ ਛ੝ਭ ਕੈ ਸਰ ਪ੝ੰਜ ਨਿਵਾਰੇ ॥ ਜਾਨ੝ਕ ਭਾਨ੝ ਉਦੈ ਨਿਸ ਕਉ ਲਖਿ ਕੈ ਸਭ ਹੀ ਤਪ ਤੇਜ ਪਧਾਰੇ ॥੬੧੩॥ सढ़री रघढ़राज सरासन लै छिन मौ छढ़भ कै सर पढ़ंज निवारे ॥ जानढ़क भानढ़ उदै निस कउ लखि कै सभ ही तप तेज पधारे ॥६१३॥ On this side Ram was enraged for and instant and destroyed the collective discharging of all those arrows and the darkness that had spread on account of arrows, got cleared by the spread of the sunshine again on all the four sides.613.

ਰੋਸ ਭਰੇ ਰਨ ਮੋ ਰਘ੝ਨਾਥ ਕਮਾਨ ਲੈ ਬਾਨ ਅਨੇਕ ਚਲਾਝ ॥ ਬਾਜ ਗਜੀ ਗਜਰਾਜ ਘਨੇ ਰਥ ਰਾਜ ਬਨੇ ਕਰਿ ਰੋਸ ਉਡਾਝ ॥ रोस भरे रन मो रघढ़नाथ कमान लै बान अनेक चलाझ ॥ बाज गजी गजराज घने रथ राज बने करि रोस उडाझ ॥ Filled with anger Ram discharged many arrows and caused the elephants, horses and charioteers to fly away;

ਜੇ ਦ੝ਖ ਦੇਹ ਕਟੇ ਸੀਅ ਕੇ ਹਿਤ ਤੇ ਰਨਿ ਆਜ ਪ੝ਰਤੱਖ ਦਿਖਾਝ ॥ ਰਾਜੀਵ ਲੋਚਨ ਰਾਮ ਕ੝ਮਾਰ ਘਨੋ ਰਨ ਘਾਲਿ ਘਨੋ ਘਰ ਘਾਝ ॥੬੧੪॥ जे दढ़ख देह कटे सीअ के हित ते रनि आज पढ़रतढ़ख दिखाझ ॥ राजीव लोचन राम कढ़मार घनो रन घालि घनो घर घाझ ॥६१४॥ The way in which the anguish of Sita could be removed and she could be set free, Ram made today all such efforts and that lotus-eyed one caused the desertion of many homes with his terrible warfare.614.

ਰਾਵਨ ਰੋਸ ਭਰਿਯੋ ਗਰਜਿਯੋ ਰਨ ਮੋ ਲਹਿਕੈ ਸਭ ਸੈਨ ਭਜਾਨਯੋ ॥ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਹਾਕ ਹਥਯਾਰ ਹਠੀ ਗਹਿ ਸ੝ਰੀ ਰਘ੝ਨੰਦਨ ਸੋ ਰਣ ਠਾਨਯੋ ॥ रावन रोस भरियो गरजियो रन मो लहिकै सभ सैन भजानयो ॥ आप ही हाक हथयार हठी गहि सढ़री रघढ़नंदन सो रण ठानयो ॥ Ravana thundered in rage and causing his army to rush forward, shouting loudly and holding his weapons in his hands, he came straight towards Ram and fought with him;

ਚਾਬਕ ਮਾਰਿ ਕ੝ਦਾਇ ਤ੝ਰੰਗਨ ਜਾਇ ਪਰਿਯੋ ਕਛ੝ ਤ੝ਰਾਸ ਨ ਮਾਨਯੋ ॥ ਬਾਨਨ ਤੇ ਬਿਧ੝ ਬਾਹਨ ਤੇ ਮਨ ਮਾਰਤ ਕੋ ਰਥ ਛੋਰਿ ਸਿਧਾਨਯੋ ॥੬੧੫॥ चाबक मारि कढ़दाइ तढ़रंगन जाइ परियो कछढ़ तढ़रास न मानयो ॥ बानन ते बिधढ़ बाहन ते मन मारत को रथ छोरि सिधानयो ॥६१५॥ He caused his horses to gallop fearlessly by whipping them. He left his chariot I order to kill Ram with his arrows and came forward.615.

ਸ੝ਰੀ ਰਘ੝ਨੰਦਨ ਕੀ ਭ੝ਜ ਕੇ ਜਬ ਛੋਰਿ ਸਰਾਸਨ ਬਾਨ ਉਡਾਨੇ ॥ ਭੂੰਮਿ ਅਕਾਸ ਪਤਾਰ ਚਹੂੰ ਚਕ ਪੂਰ ਰਹੇ ਨਹੀ ਜਾਤ ਪਛਾਨੇ ॥ सढ़री रघढ़नंदन की भढ़ज के जब छोरि सरासन बान उडाने ॥ भूमि अकास पतार चहूं चक पूर रहे नही जात पछाने ॥ When the arrows were discharged form the hands of Ram the earth, sky, netherworld and four directions could hardly be recognized;

ਤੋਰ ਸਨਾਹ ਸ੝ਬਾਹਨ ਕੇ ਤਨ ਆਹ ਕਰੀ ਨਹੀ ਪਾਰ ਪਰਾਨੇ ॥ ਛੇਦ ਕਰੋਟਨ ਓਟਨ ਕੋਟ ਅਟਾਨਮੋ ਜਾਨਕੀ ਬਾਨ ਪਛਾਨੇ ॥੬੧੬॥ तोर सनाह सढ़बाहन के तन आह करी नही पार पराने ॥ छेद करोटन ओटन कोट अटानमो जानकी बान पछाने ॥६१६॥ Those arrows, piercing through the armours of warriors and killing them without the utterance of a sigh, they penetrated to the other side, when the arrows fell after piercing the steel-armours, Sita realized that these arrows were discharged by Ram.616.

ਸ੝ਰੀ ਅਸ੝ਰਾਰਦਨ ਕੇ ਕਰ ਕੋ ਜਿਨ ਝਕ ਹੀ ਬਾਨ ਬਿਖੈ ਤਨ ਚਾਖਿਯੋ ॥ ਭਾਜ ਸਕਿਯੋ ਨ ਭਿਰਿਯੋ ਹਠ ਕੈ ਭਟ ਝਕ ਹੀ ਘਾਇ ਧਰਾ ਪਰ ਰਾਖਿਯੋ ॥ सढ़री असढ़रारदन के कर को जिन झक ही बान बिखै तन चाखियो ॥ भाज सकियो न भिरियो हठ कै भट झक ही घाइ धरा पर राखियो ॥ He, who was struck by arrows of Ram, that warrior could neither run away from that place nor could fight but fell dead on the ground.

ਛੇਦ ਸਨਾਹ ਸ੝ਬਾਹਨ ਕੋ ਸਰ ਓਟਨ ਕੋਟਿ ਕਰੋਟਨ ਨਾਖਿਯੋ ॥ ਸ੝ਆਰ ਜ੝ਝਾਰ ਅਪਾਰ ਹਠੀ ਰਨਿ ਹਾਰਿ ਗਿਰੇ ਧਰਿ ਹਾਇ ਨ ਭਾਖਿਯੋ ॥੬੧੭॥ छेद सनाह सढ़बाहन को सर ओटन कोटि करोटन नाखियो ॥ सढ़आर जढ़झार अपार हठी रनि हारि गिरे धरि हाइ न भाखियो ॥६१७॥ The arrows of Ram pierced through the armour of warriors and then mighty fighters fell down on the earth without uttering a sign.617.

ਆਨਿ ਅਰੇ ਸ੝ ਮਰੇ ਸਭਹੀ ਭਟ ਜੀਤ ਬਚੇ ਰਨ ਛਾਡਿ ਪਰਾਨੇ ॥ ਦੇਵ ਅਦੇਵਨ ਕੇ ਜਿਤਯਾ ਰਨਿ ਕੋਟਿ ਹਤੇ ਕਰ ਝਕ ਨ ਜਾਨੇ ॥ आनि अरे सढ़ मरे सभही भट जीत बचे रन छाडि पराने ॥ देव अदेवन के जितया रनि कोटि हते कर झक न जाने ॥ Ravana called all his warriors, but those remaining fighters fled away; Ravna killed millions of gods and demons, but it made no difference in the battlefield.

ਸ੝ਰੀ ਰਘ੝ਰਾਜ ਪ੝ਰਾਕ੝ਰਮ ਕੋ ਲਖਿ ਤੇਜ ਸੰਬੂਹ ਸਭੈ ਭਹਰਾਨੇ ॥ ਓਟਨ ਕੂਦ ਕਰੋਟਨ ਫਾਂਧਿ ਸ੝ ਲੰਕਹਿ ਛਾਡਿ ਬਿਲੰਕ ਸਿਧਾਨੇ ॥੬੧੮॥ सढ़री रघढ़राज पढ़राकढ़रम को लखि तेज सढ़मबूह सभै भहराने ॥ ओटन कूद करोटन फांधि सढ़ लंकहि छाडि बिलंक सिधाने ॥६१८॥ Seeing the power of Ram the illustrious persons were perturbed and jumping over the walls of the citadel, they ran away.618.

ਰਾਵਨ ਰੋਸ ਭਰਿਯੋ ਰਨ ਮੋ ਗਹਿ ਬੀਸ ਹੂੰ ਬਾਹਿ ਹਥਿਯਾਰ ਪ੝ਰਹਾਰੇ ॥ ਭੂਮਿ ਅਕਾਸ ਦਿਸਾ ਬਿਦਿਸਾ ਚਕਿ ਚਾਰ ਰ੝ਕੇ ਨਹੀ ਜਾਤ ਨਿਹਾਰੇ ॥ रावन रोस भरियो रन मो गहि बीस हूं बाहि हथियार पढ़रहारे ॥ भूमि अकास दिसा बिदिसा चकि चार रढ़के नही जात निहारे ॥ In great fury Ravana attacked with weapons from all the twenty arms and with his blows the earth, sky and all the four directions became invisible;

ਫੋਕਨ ਤੈ ਫਲ ਤੈ ਮੱਧ ਤੈ ਅਧ ਤੈ ਬਧ ਕੈ ਰਣ ਮੰਡਲਿ ਡਾਰੇ ॥ ਛਤ੝ਰ ਧ੝ਜਾ ਬਰ ਬਾਜ ਰਥੀ ਰਥ ਕਾਟਿ ਸਭੈ ਰਘ੝ਰਾਜ ਉਤਾਰੇ ॥੬੧੯॥ फोकन तै फल तै मढ़ध तै अध तै बध कै रण मंडलि डारे ॥ छतढ़र धढ़जा बर बाज रथी रथ काटि सभै रघढ़राज उतारे ॥६१९॥ Ram threw away the enemies from the war-arena, chopping them easily like a fruit. Ram chopped and threw all the canopies, banners, horses and charioteers belonging to Ravana.619.

ਰਾਵਨ ਚਉਪ ਚਲਿਯੋ ਚਪਕੈ ਨਿਜ ਬਾਜ ਬਿਹੀਨ ਜਬੈ ਰਥ ਜਾਨਿਯੋ ॥ ਢਾਲ ਤ੝ਰਿਸੂਲ ਗਦਾ ਬਰਛੀ ਗਹਿ ਸ੝ਰੀ ਰਘ੝ਨੰਦਨ ਸੋ ਰਨ ਠਾਨਿਯੋ ॥ रावन चउप चलियो चपकै निज बाज बिहीन जबै रथ जानियो ॥ ढाल तढ़रिसूल गदा बरछी गहि सढ़री रघढ़नंदन सो रन ठानियो ॥ When Ravana saw his chariot deprived of the horses, he marched forward quickly and holding his shield, trident mace and spear in his hands he fought with Ram.

ਧਾਇ ਪਰਿਯੋ ਲਲਕਾਰਿ ਹਠੀ ਕਪਿ ਪ੝ੰਜਨ ਕੋ ਕਛ੝ ਤ੝ਰਾਸ ਨ ਮਾਨਿਯੋ ॥ ਅੰਗਦ ਆਦਿ ਹਨਵੰਤ ਤੇ ਲੈ ਭਟ ਕੋਟਿ ਹ੝ਤੇ ਕਰਿ ਝਕ ਨ ਜਾਨਿਯੋ ॥੬੨੦॥ धाइ परियो ललकारि हठी कपि पढ़ंजन को कछढ़ तढ़रास न मानियो ॥ अंगद आदि हनवंत ते लै भट कोटि हढ़ते करि झक न जानियो ॥६२०॥ The persistent Ravana, without any fear of the forces of the monkeys; moved forward fearlessly, shouting violently. There were many warriors those like Angad, Hanuman etc., but he did not fear anyone.620.

ਰਾਵਨ ਕੋ ਰਘ੝ਰਾਜ ਜਬੈ ਰਣ ਮੰਡਲ ਆਵਤ ਮੱਧਿ ਨਿਹਾਰਿਯੋ ॥ ਬੀਸ ਸਿਲਾ ਸਿਤ ਸਾਇਕ ਲੈ ਕਰਿ ਕੋਪ੝ ਬਡੋ ਉਰ ਮੱਧ ਪ੝ਰਹਾਰਿਯੋ ॥ रावन को रघढ़राज जबै रण मंडल आवत मढ़धि निहारियो ॥ बीस सिला सित साइक लै करि कोपढ़ बडो उर मढ़ध पढ़रहारियो ॥ When the king of Raghava clan saw Ravna coming forward, he (Ram) attacked him by discharging his twenty arrows like slabs on his chest.

ਭੇਦ ਚਲੇ ਮਰਮ ਸੱਥਲ ਕੋ ਸਰ ਸ੝ਰੋਣ ਨਦੀ ਸਰ ਬੀਚ ਪਖਾਰਿਯੋ ॥ ਆਗੇ ਹੀ ਰੇਂਗ ਚਲਿਯੋ ਹਠਿ ਕੈ ਭਟ ਧਾਮ ਕੋ ਭੂਲ ਨ ਨਾਮ ਉਚਾਰਿਯੋ ॥੬੨੧॥ भेद चले मरम सढ़थल को सर सढ़रोण नदी सर बीच पखारियो ॥ आगे ही रेंग चलियो हठि कै भट धाम को भूल न नाम उचारियो ॥६२१॥ These arrows penetrated through his vital parts and he bathed in the stream of blood. Ravana fell down and crawled forward, he forgot even the location of his house.621.

ਰੋਸ ਭਰਿਯੋ ਰਨ ਮੌ ਰਘ੝ਨਾਥ ਸ੝ ਪਾਨ ਕੇ ਬੀਚ ਸਰਾਸਨ ਲੈ ਕੈ ॥ ਪਾਂਚ ਕ੝ ਪਾਇ ਹਟਾਇ ਦਯੋ ਤਿਹ ਬੀਸਹੂੰ ਬਾਂਹਿ ਬਿਨਾ ਓਹ ਕੈ ਕੈ ॥ रोस भरियो रन मौ रघढ़नाथ सढ़ पान के बीच सरासन लै कै ॥ पांच कढ़ पाइ हटाइ दयो तिह बीसहूं बांहि बिना ओह कै कै ॥ Ram, the king of Raghava clan, in great fury, taking his bow in his hand and taking five steps backward, chopped all his twenty arms;

ਦੈ ਦਸ ਬਾਨ ਬਿਮਾਨ ਦਸੋ ਸਿਰ ਕਾਟਿ ਦਝ ਸਿਵ ਲੋਕ ਪਠੈ ਕੈ ॥ ਸ੝ਰੀ ਰਘ੝ਰਾਜ ਬਰਿਯੋ ਸੀਅ ਕੋ ਬਹ੝ਰੋ ਜਨ੝ ਜ੝ੱਧ ਸ੝ਯੰਬਰ ਜੈ ਕੈ ॥੬੨੨॥ दै दस बान बिमान दसो सिर काटि दझ सिव लोक पठै कै ॥ सढ़री रघढ़राज बरियो सीअ को बहढ़रो जनढ़ जढ़ढ़ध सढ़यढ़मबर जै कै ॥६२२॥ With ten arrows be chopped his ten heads for dispatching them to the abode of Shiva; after the war Ram wedded Sita again as if he had conquered her in the ceremony of Swayyamvara.622.
