ਭਾਗ भाग SECTION

ਅਥ ਮਕਰਾਛ ਜ੝ੱਧ ਕਥਨੰ ॥ अथ मकराछ जढ़ढ़ध कथनं ॥ Now begins the description of the war with Makrachh :

ਪਾਧੜੀ ਛੰਦ ॥ पाधड़ी छंद ॥ PAADHRI STANZA

ਤਬ ਰ੝ਕਿਯੋ ਸੈਨ ਮਕਰਾਛ ਆਨਿ ॥ ਕਹ ਜਾਹ੝ ਰਾਮ ਨਹੀ ਪੈ ਹੋ ਜਾਨ ॥ तब रढ़कियो सैन मकराछ आनि ॥ कह जाहढ़ राम नही पै हो जान ॥ After that Makrachh joined the army and said. "O Ram ! You cannot save yourself now;

ਜਿਨ ਹਤਿਯੋ ਤਾਤ ਰਣ ਮੋ ਅਖੰਡ ॥ ਸੋ ਲਰੋ ਆਨਿ ਮੋਸੋ ਪ੝ਰਚੰਡ ॥੫੧੮॥ जिन हतियो तात रण मो अखंड ॥ सो लरो आनि मोसो पढ़रचंड ॥५१८॥ He who has killed my father, that mighty warriors should come forward and wage war with me."518.

ਇਮ ਸ੝ਣਿ ਕ੝ਬੈਣ ਰਾਮਾਵਤਾਰ ॥ ਗਹਿ ਸਸਤ੝ਰ ਅਸਤ੝ਰ ਕੋਪਿਯੋ ਜ੝ਝਾਰ ॥ इम सढ़णि कढ़बैण रामावतार ॥ गहि ससतढ़र असतढ़र कोपियो जढ़झार ॥ Ram heard these crooked words and in great rage he held his weapons and arms in his hands;

ਬਹ੝ ਤਾਣ ਬਾਣ ਤਿਹ ਹਣੇ ਅੰਗ ॥ ਮਕਰਾਛ ਮਾਰਿ ਡਾਰਿਯੋ ਨਿਸੰਗ ॥੫੧੯॥ बहढ़ ताण बाण तिह हणे अंग ॥ मकराछ मारि डारियो निसंग ॥५१९॥ He pulled (his bow) discharged his arrows, and fearlessly killed Makrachh.519.

ਜਬ ਹਤੇ ਬੀਰ ਅਰ ਹਣੀ ਸੈਨ ॥ ਤਬ ਭਜੇ ਸੂਰ ਹ੝ਝ ਕਰਿ ਨਿਚੈਨ ॥ जब हते बीर अर हणी सैन ॥ तब भजे सूर हढ़झ करि निचैन ॥ When this hero and his army were killed, then all the warriors, becoming weaponsless, ran away (from the filed);

ਤਬ ਕ੝ੰਭ ਔਰ ਅਨਕ੝ੰਭ ਆਨਿ ॥ ਦਲ ਰ੝ਕਿਯੋ ਰਾਮ ਕੋ ਤਯਾਗ ਕਾਨ ॥੫੨੦॥ਇਤਿ ਮਰਾਛ ਛੰਦ॥ तब कढ़ढ़मभ और अनकढ़ढ़मभ आनि ॥ दल रढ़कियो राम को तयाग कान ॥५२०॥इति मराछ छंद॥ After that Kumbh and Ankumbh came forward and obstructed the army of Ram.520.

ਅਜਬਾ ਛੰਦ ॥ अजबा छंद ॥ AJBA STANZA

ਤ੝ਰੱਪੇ ਤਾਜੀ ॥ ਗੱਜੇ ਗਾਜੀ ॥ ਸੱਜੇ ਸਸਤ੝ਰੰ ॥ ਕਛੇ ਅਸਤ੝ਰੰ ॥੫੨੧॥ तढ़रपे ताजी ॥ गढ़जे गाजी ॥ सढ़जे ससतढ़रं ॥ कछे असतढ़रं ॥५२१॥ The horses jumped, the warriors thundered and began to strike blows, being bedecked with weapons and arms.521.

ਤ੝ੱਟੇ ਤ੝ਰਾਣੰ ॥ ਛ੝ੱਟੇ ਬਾਣੰ ॥ ਰ੝ੱਪੇ ਬੀਰੰ ॥ ਬ੝ੱਠੇ ਤੀਰੰ ॥੫੨੨॥ तढ़ढ़टे तढ़राणं ॥ छढ़ढ़टे बाणं ॥ रढ़ढ़पे बीरं ॥ बढ़ढ़ठे तीरं ॥५२२॥ The bows broke, the arrows were discharged, the warriors became firm and the shafts were showered.522.

ਘ੝ੱਮੇ ਘਾਯੰ ॥ ਜ੝ੱਮੇ ਚਾਯੰ ॥ ਰੱਜੇ ਰੋਸੰ ॥ ਤੱਜੇ ਹੋਸੰ ॥੫੨੩॥ घढ़ढ़मे घायं ॥ जढ़ढ़मे चायं ॥ ढ़रजे रोसं ॥ तढ़जे होसं ॥५२३॥ The warriors wandered after getting wounded and their zeal grew, with fury, they began to lose their senses.523.

ਕੱਜੇ ਸੰਜੰ ॥ ਪੂਰੇ ਪੰਜੰ ॥ ਜ੝ੱਝੇ ਖੇਤੰ ॥ ਡਿੱਗੇ ਚੇਤੰ ॥੫੨੪॥ कढ़जे संजं ॥ पूरे पंजं ॥ जढ़ढ़झे खेतं ॥ डिढ़गे चेतं ॥५२४॥ The warriors covered with armours, began to fight in the battlefield and fell down unconscious.524.

ਘੇਰੀ ਲੰਕੰ ॥ ਬੀਰੰ ਬੰਕੰ ॥ ਭੱਜੀ ਸੈਣੰ ॥ ਲਜੀ ਨੈਣੰ ॥੫੨੫॥ घेरी लंकं ॥ बीरं बंकं ॥ भढ़जी सैणं ॥ लजी नैणं ॥५२५॥ The foppish warriors besieged Lanka; the demons army sped away feeling ashamed.525.

ਡਿੱਗੇ ਸੂਰੰ ॥ ਭਿੱਗੇ ਨੂਰੰ ॥ ਬਯਾਹੈਂ ਹੂਰੰ ॥ ਕਾਮੰ ਪੂਰੰ ॥੫੨੬॥ डिढ़गे सूरं ॥ भिढ़गे नूरं ॥ बयाहैं हूरं ॥ कामं पूरं ॥५२६॥ The brave fighters fell and their faces shone; they wedded the heavenly damsels and fulfilled their wishes.526.
