RADHASAMIS are not SIKHS

Radh Soami (Radhasoami Satsang) was founded in 1861 by Shri Shiv Dayal Singh Sahab who preached that human beings could reach God realization only through listening to the shabad / shabd (sound), or nam (name), of the Lord.
'''Radha Soami "Radhasoami" (also Radhasoami Satsang and Radha Swami)''' is a sect & spiritual movement, founded in 1861 by Shiv Dayal Singh Seth. It boasts a following of over two million people worldwide. He related the human soul to Radha whose goal was to merge with eternal reality (Soami), thus the name Radha Soami. As do the Hindus he preached vegetarianism and abstinance from intoxication.

Following the departure of the founder in 1878, a number of splits of the movement occurred, apparently because Soami Ji Maharaj (the name given to Dayal Singh by his followers) did not name a successor. The three branches are:
Shiv Dyal Singh was never big on spreading his teaching or increasing his flock of devotees. He established his Satsang in [[Agra]]. In 1855 Dayal Singh had only a handful of followers. At the time of his death in 1878, it is thought that his following had grown to several thousand.

==Meaning of the term "Radhasoami"==
The MSS Charitable hospital provides free medical care for the group's members and the needy and includes a serai (inn) for the free accommodation of relatives of patients. An annual eye clinic gives medical aid to people suffering eye-ailments, including the removal of cataracts.

In simple words, "Radhasoami" means tie to God with the help of living master in this very life. No doubts that God will meet us the last day of our life , we will and surely meet in this very life.
==Radhaswami Lineage==

Other meanings includes the reversal path of the divine light via Khand or divisions... as the word Radha when inverted forms Dhara, meaning flow ( also divine flow) and Swami meaning the master. The purpose and concept of the RadhaSwami mat is union of this divine flow with its original master. This is done through Surat Shabd Yoga. Others explain that it is not a Varnatmak name (that is, an approximate reproduction in human speech of the cosmic sound), but a Dhunyatmak name which can be heard internally through spiritual practice. (Aum, or Om, is a commonly known example of a Varnatmak name.) One way to explain Varnatmak Nam is to liken it to onomatopoeia, that commonly used poetic device, where engines are said to whirr, doors are slammed, bells ring and pagers beep. Except that, in this case, the Dhunatmak sound one is referring to with Varnatmak Nam is not physical, but spiritual.

The principles of Radhasoami Faith are basically a true methodology of realizing the Supreme Truth - God, which is present in all individuals as Soul - this is the essence of God in man. In order to realize God in life the force of spirit has to be awakened by adopting the prescribed teaching of the Master of the Time. He is the only person in human form, "who", has realized the Truth - God.
==Radhaswamis are not Sikhs==
Practices of the Sikh religion not followed by the Radhaswamis:

The practical aspect of awakening the Spirit within through the aid of the Master is essentially the repetition of the Holy Name Radhasoami and contemplation of the Form of the Master of the Time and internally listening to the Holy Sound Radhasoami which is there in the Master of the Time. In order that a continuity should be maintained for the redemption of the Soul, Huzur Soamiji Maharaj - the Master of the Time ordained the recruitment of His NIJ DHAR in new Form on this planet who becomes the Sant Satguru of the Time after the departure of the Master. According to Radhasoami Faith the practice of Sumiran and Dhyan in the absence of True Master is not possible and the Supreme Master is essential. The advent of Huzur Soamiji Maharaj on this planet has brought in a continuation of NIJDHAR in human form of the Sant Satgurus after the departure of the previous Master.
#Difference in Naam simran,
#Difference in Naam Jap, Waheguru Gurmantra of Sikhs is not accepted by sect.
#Karah parsaad is not prepared by sect thus not distributed in disciples/sangat.
#No Kirpan Bhenta - Kirpaan or Sword is not offered to Karaah-parsaad as it is not prepared as in the Sikh religion, where Karaah parsaad is distributed only after offering the holy Kirpaan.
#Jo bole so nihaal-Sat siri akal, The Sikh battle cry is not in use by the sect, they disallow it.
#Sikhs greet each other with, “ Waheguru ji ka Khalsa, Waheguru ji ki Fateh!” Radhaswami greet each other by saying, “Radhaswamiji.”
#The 'Kesri Nissan Sahib' is not used to mark the places of worship of the Radhaswami sect, while it is required at all Sikh Gurudwaras.
# Sikh Insignia (Khanda) :
Khanda is the emblem of the Sikh nation. It consists of two Kirpaans (the Sikh swords), one Khanda (double-edged sword) and one Chakkar (circle). The Sikhs have adopted it as an emblem of their royalty and nationality. The two swords represent spiritual and temporal sovereignty of the Sikh nation, the Chakkar symbolizes the wholeness of the universe as well as creation and the double-edged sword symbolizes initiation. Thus sovereignty, infinity and initiation are the three basic points of the Sikh national emblem. The Radhaswamis do not have any insignia of their own.
#No free distribution of Langar is served in community kitchens for the poor, needy and devotees to stress equality of the disciples as practiced in Sikh Gurdwaras. (A tradition started by Guru Nanak. Guru ji says "Jo kichu hai so tera."
#Recite of their own Baani (Kacchi Baani)in sect along with the pious Baani of Guru Granth Sahab ji, which is a disrespect to Guru Granth Sahib Ji.
#Amrit is not prepared and not used to baptize their disciples or followers by sect.
#The main tradition of Panj Pyare is not followed in sect.
#Use of Liquor and meat is prohibited but not the use of tobacco in followers by sect.

The uniqueness of Radhasoami Faith lies in transference of NIJ DHAR that is the Name and Sound Current to the successive Master of the Time by the previous Master before the departure. Because of this unique internal transference of the Supreme Current the present Master is equipped with the entire Spiritual qualities and characters of His Master. He acquires the power to liberate the souls from the bondage of mind and matter in the lifetime of the true seeker. His discourses and compositions are remarkably in consonance with the features of previous Master's discourses and compositions. This is the remarkable feature of the Radhasoami Faith. Radhasoami Faith emphasizes that man should aim to develop his faculties of mind, body and spirit under the Guidance of the True Master only. By following His teachings, the life is enriched and the aim of the salvation of the soul is achieved in totality in lifetime.

When people of India were resting the sleep of illiteracy and diffidence, Guru Nanak saved these people from the fire of ritualistic beliefs and joined them in the remembrance of One God. Through his Ten Incarnations, Guru Nanak blessed the coward and the meek with kingdoms. With the Tenth incarnation, Guru Nanak carried out the most sensational marvel of gracing the disregarded and meager people by embracing and manifesting them as the "Panth Khalsa" and these people were also given the title of "Panj Pyare". Guru Sahib announced:
He is clear to his devotees that, "Jab eh gahe bipran ki reet Main na karon inki parteet !! " Means when the devotees shall go the other way, he will not be with them otherewise Guru is always with his Sikh.

From the moment Guru Nanak Dev Ji started to alter the "Jagat Jalanda" (burning world) by preaching '''"Sach Ki Bela"''' (Word of Truth), from that time the Brahmanvadi nation of falsehood started foreseeing its eradication. The drama of these people of pretending to be the living image of God was getting revealed because of Guru Nanak's teachings. Guru Nanak preached:
===Views of Different people===

*'''ਤਿਨ੝” ਸੰਗਿ ਸੰਗ੝ ਨ ਕੀਚਈ ਨਾਨਕ ਜਿਨਾ ਆਪਣਾ ਸ੝ਆਉ ॥2॥
thinu sung sung n keechee naanuk jinaa aapunaa suaao
Do not associate with those, O Nanak, who look out only for their own interests. ||2||'''

Even though the Sikh religion has always been against the ritualistic belief of worshiping idols and graves, some so-called 'Sikhs' still indulge in the above mentioned religious misconduct.

Even today, some Sikhs are going astray from the teachings of the "Shabad Guru" and becoming victims of the false practice of idol and human worship. It is a big grief that the Sikhs who once lived on the edge of the sword and thanked the Almighty God even after having their bodies chopped into little pieces, had their whole families martyred, faced death bravely while being tied to the Catherine wheels, the same Sikh nation is now being misled by teachings of these 'Gurus'.
{{Sects & Cults}}

Where some people are plotting themselves as the incarnation of the Gurus for their personal gains, many of our Sikh brothers and sisters are also becoming prey because of their own shortcomings. What is miserable is that many of our Sikh brothers are also adopting these teachings and beliefs which the Sikh Gurus openly rejected.

With the message of -
*'''ਬਿਨ ਕਰਤਾਰ ਨ ਕਿਰਤਮ ਮਾਨੋ ॥
Do not accept anyone else except God as the Creator of the Universe'''

the Gurus have done the great deed of joining the Sikhs to One Creator God. But still many immoral 'ways of life' are locking people in the mesh of the perplexity.

The Radha Soami dogma is one such prominently known way of life. The Sikh Gurus have conferred the gift of Gur Mantar and Mool Mantar to their Sikhs and have clearly ruled the following command:

*'''ਆਪਿ ਜਪਹ੝ ਅਵਰਹ ਨਾਮ੝ ਜਪਾਵਹ੝ ॥
aap jupuhu avureh naam jupaavuhu
Chant the Naam yourself, and inspire others to chant it.'''
But yet many so-called 'Sikhs' can be seen begging for the 'Gupt-Mantar' at the door of Human 'Gurus'. The Radha Soami faith was started in the city of Agra by a man named Shiv Dayal, who was the husband of a woman named Radha. During the year 1891, Jaimal Singh, a member of a Sikh regiment came in contact of Shiv Dayal and started the shrine of the Radha Soami faith at Beas. At present there are many branches of this faith that are in opposition to each other. These branches of the Radha Soami faith include their centers at Allahabad, Agra, Beas, Saidpur (Dist. Amritsar Sahib). Missionary work of this belief was first started at Saidpur by a person named Baba Teja Singh. Another person named 'Baba Rasila Ram' is the present leader of this cult.

In their attempt to copy the Sikh history, these people have published the biography of Baba Teja Singh under the title of 'Janam Sakhi'. While many doctrines enlisted in this book are against the principals of Gurmat, the author has also published many statements in favor of the Radha Soami faith which are comparable to a Punjabi idiom that translates in English: '''"To throw an axe at your own foot"'''. This faith promotes the Jain belief of adhering to total peace; but the Sikh Gurus rejected such tenets because they were not in line with their proposed life full of morale and esteem. About the Jain belief, Guru Nanak Dev Ji has stated that the Jain followers take precautions under the false notion of not wanting to kill any living beings such as drinking water without purification in order to not kill the bacteria. About their practices Guru Sahib has stated:

*'''ਸਿਰ੝ ਖੋਹਾਇ ਪੀਅਹਿ ਮਲਵਾਣੀ ਜੂਠਾ ਮੰਗਿ ਮੰਗਿ ਖਾਹੀ ॥
sir khohaae peeahi muluvaanee joothaa mung mung khaahee
They pluck the hair out of their heads, and drink in filthy water; they beg endlessly and eat the garbage which others have thrown away.

* '''ਫੋਲਿ ਫਦੀਹਤਿ ਮ੝ਹਿ ਲੈਨਿ ਭੜਾਸਾ ਪਾਣੀ ਦੇਖਿ ਸਗਾਹੀ ॥
fol fudheehath muhi lain bhurraasaa paanee dhaekh sugaahee
They spread manure, they suck in rotting smells, and they are afraid of clean water.'''

The Janam Sakhi published by the Radha Soami faith also favors another belief of the Jainism which Guru Sahib opposed. The Janis spread excreta in fear of killing a living being, and the Radha Soamis go through the deed of smelling manure to identify their Guru.

On page 62 of the Janam Sakhi published by 'Baba Teja Singh Radha Soami Trust', meanings of Gurbani are presented in a wrongful manner to prtray falseness. The page states that 'Hazoor Satguru' Teja Singh preached to Sangat that one can identify a person living in accordance with Gurbani if he eats and sleeps less, but and the biggest sign comes from that a person's excreta, instead of having a fecal odor woul have a fragrance! For the stool and urine to be free of odor is the biggest sign of an enlightened person.

This teaching is further confirmed in Teja Singh's 'Janam Sakhi' through this passage: "… after that Bhagat Chanan Singh and Gyanni Ji secretly smelled Baba Teja Singh Ji's excreta (page 61-62). The bodily waste of Baba Teja Singh Ji had fragrance instead of odor and they accepted Baba Teja Singh as Puran Guru."

This story plotted by the missionaries of the Radha Soami faith is worth nothing more than laughter. It is distressing to see Sikhs of Guru Nanak Dev Ji's "Nirmal Panth" following the fake human gurus. Such Sikhs who merely carry the image of the Sikh identity and use Singhs and Kaurs as their last name and turn their backs on Guru Sahib by joining faiths as the Radha Soami, are not worthy of being labeled as Sikhs of the Gurus. They are forgetting that Guru Sahib taught:

*'''ਜਾਗਿਤ ਜੋਤਿ ਜਪੈ ਨਿਸ ਬਾਸ੝ਰ ਝਕ ਬਿਨਾ ਮਨ ਨੈਕ ਨ ਆਨੈ ॥
jaagith joth japai nis baasur eaek binaa man naik n aanai ||
He the Khalsa meditates on the Ever-radiant Light, day and night, and rejects all else but the one Lord from the mind.
pooran praem pratheeth sajai brath gor marrhee matt bhool n maanai ||
He decorates himself with perfect love and faith, and believed not in fasts, tombs, crematoriums and hermit cells, even by mistake.'''

Dyal Singh, founder of the Radha Swamis

RADHASAMIS are not SIKHS

Radha Soami "Radhasoami" (also Radhasoami Satsang and Radha Swami) is a sect & spiritual movement, founded in 1861 by Shiv Dayal Singh Seth. It boasts a following of over two million people worldwide. He related the human soul to Radha whose goal was to merge with eternal reality (Soami), thus the name Radha Soami. As do the Hindus he preached vegetarianism and abstinance from intoxication.

Shiv Dyal Singh was never big on spreading his teaching or increasing his flock of devotees. He established his Satsang in Agra. In 1855 Dayal Singh had only a handful of followers. At the time of his death in 1878, it is thought that his following had grown to several thousand.

The sect is faithful in using the Guru Granth Sahib the Holy Book of the Sikh's. They have never tried to alter the proceedings or tenants of mainstream Sikhs and do not portray their leaders as sucessors to the 10 Gurus of the Sikhs. Today the Beas ashram maitnains a Langar (free kitchen) and has lodgings for Sadhus, Sewadars, Satsangis and others.

The MSS Charitable hospital provides free medical care for the group's members and the needy and includes a serai (inn) for the free accommodation of relatives of patients. An annual eye clinic gives medical aid to people suffering eye-ailments, including the removal of cataracts.
