Pelia

Pelia also known as Pellia, Peliah or Palia is a clan in labana/lohana. They are derived from Braham Kshatriyas. Most of them are baptised sikhs at present times. Baba Makhan Shah was a great merchant from Pelia clan, Pelia comes from [Pal] The Pal dynasty. some of them were great merchants until 18 century. Pelias are known as jewish of punjab because of their wealth. They are mostly found in Kangra, Punjab, Jammu, UP, Haryana, USA, UK and Europe.
