In Sikh Religion, Para Brahman (Pa: ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ) is highest state of Soul in which it become All prevading. It is also called Surat-Shabad Amalgamation. This word appears 378 times in Guru Granth Sahib.

Change of states

In Sikh Religion, Brahm, Pooran Brahm and Parbrahm are three interrelated aspectes. Brahm means Soul (Jeev).

  1. When Soul is entangled in Temporality (Maya), then it is divided into two: Mann (Outer Soul; Negative; Brahma; Bad Councisousness) and Chitt (Inner Soul; Positive; Brahm; Good counciousness). In other words, Brahm is divided.
  2. When Soul take divine wisdom (from Gurbani or Gurbani alike wisdom), It contemplate on innerself and ends his duality then it turns into state of Pooran Brahm.
  3. Pooran Brahm is capable of connecting with Parbrahm which is Hukam or Shabad which is eternally prevades everywhere in Universe (Surat Shabad Bhavsagar Tariyey) Once it connects to Parbrahm then it becomes its part and lost its independent entity.
