Multani are labanas which are orignally from multan in pakistan. But some says that it have nothing relation with multan it is related with sultanis of pakistan. These were said to be traders of grain. These are mostly found in pakistan i.e multan, lahore. Multani, as such could very well be used by Labanas and non-Labanas. Using a place for a last name is a fairly frequent custom as we know. Shahid Bhai Mani Singh, the famous Sewadar of Shri Harmandir Sahib Amristsar for instance is referred to as a Multani too

These were said to be traders of grain. These are mostly found in pakistan i.e multan, lahore. Multani, as such could very well be used by Labanas and non-Labanas.
