Modi khana

Modi Khana is a reference to a provision store or a food supplies store. It is referred to in the Janamsakhis of Guru Nanak when he worked in a food store in Sultanpur while staying in the town where his sister, Nanaki and her husband Bhai Jai Ram lived.
