Mata Daya

Mata Daya also known as Anup Devi was the wife of Hari Das. Bhai Hari Das was the father of Bhai Jehta who went on to become the fourth Sikh Guru, Guru Ram Das.

Mata Daya and Bhai Haridas was a shopkeeper family in Lahore city and belonged to the Sodhi family, part of the Khatri caste.
