This is an India musical [[raga]] (composition) that appears in the [[Sikh]] tradition from northern [[India]] and is part of the Sikh holy scripture called [[Sri Guru Granth Sahib]] or [[SGGS]] for short. Gaura is listed in the [[Ragmala]] as a putra (son) of Dipak, but not Mali Gaura. Currently classified under the Marva thataMali Gaura is performed in the evening at sunset. In recent years it is rarely heard in concert.  [[Guru Ram Das]] and [[Guru Arjan]] composed to this raga 14 hymns included in the Holy Book.
