Harmanjeet Singh

Harmanjeet Singh (born 1991) is the poet behind the Punjabi sensation Laung Lachi. He has written a book called Rani Tatt with poems/prose on Punjab and Punjabiyat.He won the Yuva Puraskar for his book Rani Tatt. Rani Tatt is a work of poems and prose on Punjab and looks at aspects through the prism of nature. It received such a rousing response from critcs and readers alike that Harmanjeet was awarded the Yuva Sahitya Akademi Award in 2017. His work is lyrical, intense, and perceptive. The book has sold over 25 thousand copies. Songs written by him have become part of many Punjabi hit films and he is slowly making a name in Bollywood. His lyrics have been sung by the likes of Amrinder Gill, Sunidhi Chauhan, and Neha Bhasin. Harmanjeet is also known for writing the lyrics to the spiritual song by Diljit Dosanjh, 'Aar Nanak Paar Nanak.' Harmanjeet Singh worked with Diljit Dosanjh again for a track named Nanak Aadh Jugaadh Jiyo.

Harmanjeet is heavily influenced by Gurbani and releases a series of Dharmik tracks with a close friend and associate of his named Manpreet. Personal life

Singh was born in a village called Khiala Kalan in the East Punjabi city of Mansa in Punjab, Harmanjeet began writing poetry at a very young age.Born in 1991, he finished the tenth grade from Baba Jogi Peer Public Senior Secondary School and then graduated from a nearby college. He also works as a primary school teacher in a government school. His father was a veteran. His elder sister and mother stay at home. Harmanjeet is also happily married with one child.
