Temple has been located by Ashok Kainth and S S Modi ,and said to have been built in memory of Guru Nanak's visit here in Sri Lanka , which is said to have in its vicinity sweet water pond as well as a tree with fruits resembling Reetha which are sweet to taste . Team found an inscription here to contain name Nanak Acharya in it.
