Durgah Peer Budhan Ali Shah


The ‘Durgah’ of Peer Budhan Ali Shah is situated at Satwari area of Jammu near Airport.

The dargah of Peer Baba is World famous and is associated with Two Sikh Gurus.

It is said that the shrine protects the people of the Jammu city from mishaps and evil spirits.


On Thursdays, Hindu and Sikh devotees vastly outnumber their Muslim brethren at this shrine; such is the faith of the people in Peer Baba. Most VIPs make it a point to visit this ‘durgah’ when they come to Jammu


When Guru Nanak Dev ji visited Jammu city and met Peer Budhan Ali Shah , Guru sahib was offered a glass of Milk by Peer Budhan Ali Shah , Guru Nanak Dev ji told him that he will drink MILK from him in 6th Form and it is said that when 6th Nanak Guru Hargobind Sahib visited Jammu and met Peer sahib and asked him where is my milk. Then 6th Guru was again offered the milk which Guru sahib accepted.
