Diwan is a punjabi word which means a "religious event" or gathering.This word was mostly used by the anicient Kings.This can be seen in the forts of these Kings in India. In these Forts Big halls have been made for gatherings and named "Diwane-a-aam" and "Diwane-a-Khas"
