Deh Shiva Baar Mohe

This is a one of the most celebrated and widely quoted hymn by Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Sikh Guru. He shows in the following Shabad the qualities that makes one fit to become part of his world mission. One must never shirk from conducting oneself in the best possible manner. The Khalsa has to be prepared at all times to willingly and consistently behave in a proper manner and do good deeds; to never fear or hesitate when stepping in front of the enemy for a fight - to never have any apprehension from a fight be it be with 1 opponent or 125,000 opponents. And to always know and trust that Waheguru will be their support and that victory in the end will be always be theirs:

Gurmukhi Devanagari Translation
O Lord, give me these wishes
May I never shirk from doing good deeds
Never shall I fear when I go to fight the enemy
with surety I shall attain victory

The hymn is a part of Chandi Charitar Ukti Bilas, a section of the Dasam Granth. Here the word "Shiva" may be taken to mean Lord Shiva, however the Sikh tradition generally uses the terms Shiva, Hari, Rama etc. in a nirguna sense.
