Basati , Basatia or Basanti ( ਬਸਾਤੀ or ਬਸਾਂਤੀ ) is a Gotra or Surname found in Jatt Sikh Community in Punjab, prominently in Eastern Punjab. People with this surname are primarily found in Eastern Districts of Punjab i.e. Roopnagar (Ropar), S.A.S Nagar (Mohali), Patiala, Ludhiana and Fatehgarh Sahib.
