Anti Sikhi is a word used to refer to practices, persons or actions that do not conform to Sikh principles or Gurmat values and are against the writing with the Sikh scripture, Guru Granth Sahib. If a person does not adhere to the Sikh values as prescribed in the SGGS and advocates action and practises that do not conform to the Sikh way of life, he or she may be deemed to be "anti-Sikhi". Nobody is allowed to preach anti-Sikh lectures inside a Gurudwara or any Sikh organization.

The Guru Granth Sahib is truly unique among the world's great scriptures. The Sikh's consider it the Supreme Spiritual Authority and Head of the Sikh religion and treat it just like a living person. It is also the only scripture of it's kind which not only contains the works of it's own religious founders but also writings of people from other faiths. As the living Guru of the Sikhs, the Granth (book) is held in great reverence by Sikhs and treated with the utmost respect.

Within its pages the SGGS rejects many practices like superstition, idol worship, empty ritual, etc. An person or action against the teachings of SGGS is considered anti-Sikhi.
