Do not cause any suffering to other beings - Ḏūkẖ na ḝe▫ī kisai jī▫a

ਜਿਸ੝ ਸਰਬ ਸ੝ਖਾ ਫਲ ਲੋੜੀਅਹਿ ਸੋ ਸਚ੝ ਕਮਾਵਉ ॥
Jis sarab sukẖĝ fal loṛī▫ah so sacẖ kamĝva▫o.
One who longs for all comforts and rewards should practice Truth.

ਨੇੜੈ ਦੇਖਉ ਪਾਰਬ੝ਰਹਮ੝ ਇਕ੝ ਨਾਮ੝ ਧਿਆਵਉ ॥
Neṛai ḝekẖ▫a▫u pĝrbarahm ik nĝm ḝẖi▫ĝva▫o.
Behold the Supreme Lord God near you, and meditate on the Naam, the Name of the One Lord.

ਹੋਇ ਸਗਲ ਕੀ ਰੇਣ੝ਕਾ ਹਰਿ ਸੰਗਿ ਸਮਾਵਉ ॥
Ho▫e sagal kī reṇukĝ har sang samĝva▫o.
Become the dust of all men's feet, and so merge with the Lord.

ਦੂਖ੝ ਨ ਦੇਈ ਕਿਸੈ ਜੀਅ ਪਤਿ ਸਿਉ ਘਰਿ ਜਾਵਉ ॥
Ḏūkẖ na ḝe▫ī kisai jī▫a paṯ si▫o gẖar jĝva▫o.
Do not cause any being to suffer, and you shall go to your true home with honor.

ਪਤਿਤ ਪ੝ਨੀਤ ਕਰਤਾ ਪ੝ਰਖ੝ ਨਾਨਕ ਸ੝ਣਾਵਉ ॥੧੭॥
Paṯiṯ punīṯ karṯĝ purakẖ Nĝnak suṇĝva▫o. ((17))
Nanak speaks of the Purifier of sinners, the Creator, the Primal Being. ((17))
